Agree about the colors! also have been listening to her album regularly since it came out, I didn’t care about her music before (sounded too calculated, written/supervised by much older adults and much like the project of some kind of child actor) but she’s an adult now and beginning to create with more independence and you can tell she genuinely loves her craft (saw her talking about music theory the other day) and has good taste, so she has an exciting career ahead of her.
That said, of all popular singers in desperate need of an intervention by the fashion industry, she wins the prize! I don’t want her to dress in body-fitting anything but the socks, the hats, the lack of minimal taste in materials and proportions and just general, boyz II men circa 1992 attire as a way to say ‘leave me alone’ to people as if she was 14 years old and freaking out about individuality and wanting costume instead? just no. I wish they’d introduce her to Yohji or Noir Kei Ninomiya, she’d probably love it and it would give her the balance of discretion and rebellion within commercial pop that she’s looking for.
