Vogue Italia February 2012 : Laura Kampman by Steven Meisel

I like the cover! Looks polished and neat, however if it's going to be a b/w Meisel boring editorial :yuk:

This cover is going to be an epic one. :flower:

I quite like the overlap between the vintage headshot and the modern clothing.

Laura nailed this, it's nice to see something different from Meisel

Laura Kampman is quite possibly the only newcomer with some depth in her eyes and innate elegance among the crazy amount of lost-looking look-alike Dutch girls seen in the summer shows. I'm glad she scored this.. Vogue Italia is rarely up my alley and this is not an exception but the cover is typically Meisel and she kind of gets to be herself so it's all positive..

I don't know why this cover leaves me so cold. There's nothing impressive about it at all to my eyes.

Interesting cover. I like it except from the golden nails.

Laura looks OK on the shot, I don't see emotions in her eyes but at least her stare isn't absent. I really don't understand why they needed to pick a newface for this concept. I miss the times where it required depth and soul to make it on the cover of Vogue and this is what Laura and all the other Meisel preferred newfaces don't have. Besides that, I truly like the photograph.

You know what, I did say I'm on the fence with this one but I actually now think I agree with you. Laura bores me, there is nothing epic about it.

i think it's interesting but underwhelming.. i mean after seeing the Numéro and i-D covers -_-
anyway i'm glad for Laura K, she was probably the only newcomer that caught my attention right away on the CK runway,

and i like the glove!

I like the cover. But you could of put any established model on the cover, and it would of been just as good if not better.

^I agree. It's very safe and simple for a model. Edite V would have been a great choice IMO.

I don't really understand what you are saying? Among all the new Dutch girls, I think Romee and Josefien were more interesting to watch on the runway then Laura.. but she puls this cover off really well.
On a second look the tagline (you know by the neck) is going to annoy me a bit.. looks a bit to esay done for me.
