This is tragic. Take away the Vogue logo, and the fact that it's Mica, and it basically becomes an amateur test shoot with experimental lighting by a photo art student in Bushwick. I&V have really lost it lately.

I think that the second VM cover (I assume the one for Latin America) would have worked best for VJ imo... and as much as I love Mica and don´t mind this shoot, this is terrible in terms of what it means for "Vogue".

• i love Mica
• i adore George Cortina and i am too happy he is back on track, i just hope he will sit in some good fashion director's chair soon, because Nippon Vogue got his best years during his presence. I don't think its gonna be Vogue Paris - he is too American for this. I just pray its not going to be an editor-in-chief chair because only few can handle it (Caine Roitfeld at Vogue Paris) and lately all fabulous fashion editors just spoiled their careers and publications with their work (Alastair McKimm was and still is an immaculate stylist but very bad EIC of I-D magazine, Mel Ottenberg was great at 032C and with Rihanna, he really made her a style icon from a tasteless island girl, now she is by herself or with Jaleel and it looks so bad, you can see her candids now and then with Mel, but his Interview EIC works is just something that should be forgotten like it never happened to us.
• this reminds of old I&V works for W magazine and so on which is good

BUT:

• too much useless text on both this and Vogue Mexico cover
• too dark cover
• her face expression isn't the best one (face is too Lowered down)
• i didn't think that in the age of globalization we will get shared content... gosh it was shame even in 2000s but in 2021 its just restricted. just stop printing this trash... leave it to digital.
