Vogue Japan September 2017 by Luigi & Iango

Apparently every model has a solo cover too (?) or maybe just Lara.. I don't know

When I saw this I thought I'd landed on a thread from 2007. Doutzen, Lara, Anna J. Then I looked again and saw it wasn't Anna J, but Natasha Poly. Great photoshopping  They all look like cardboard cut out versions of themselves! There's no life in this picture. Joan was clearly casted as a token model for 'diversity'. Not ok. Being an editor of a magazine like Vogue comes with a social responsibility to send a positive and empowering message to your readers. This is the opposite of doing that. Shameful.

I'm not a fan. First of all not a fan of the extreme retouching and second, not of the cast.

What a horrible cover! Yuck at them all looking this plastic and generic!! And for crying out loud this is the worst i have ever seen Poly look, she looks especially awful to me!

I would enjoy this cover a lot more if we had not seen tons of preview already. But its great nonetheless. I think Doutzen and Joan look the best here, and there not even my faves. I hope there's a great edit inside!!

Lara is stunning on her solo cover. The group cover is too generic.

Wow fantastic
Great photography
Every model looks Flawless

But secretly I hoped the September cover would be groupshot
And some/each of these models would have solo covers in from October - Dec/Jan

Wow. The solo covers are amazing so far. The group cover looks too Photoshopped though.

That picture reminds me this cover, very Meiselish

I really hate how Luigi & Iango makes every model, no matter how different, look like the same person. I don't know of it's the photoshop, the makeup or both... it's really off putting.

First of all, that's way too many covers. And I guess this is not the end of it.

Secondly, Joan is killing it on her solo cover. Anna looks good in everything posted so far. Vittoria seems.. unnecessary?

First of all, Natasha looks like a vintage model on that Lara/Natasha cover. Second of all, wow, Joan!!!

It feels like there's a separate cover for every permutation of the models in the original shot.

Color me surprised but I really love the main cover, specially the layout and color scheme. Also, Joan on the cover is a bit of a shock in a good way... aren´t japanese notorious racists?
I like the rest of the covers but I think that it takes away a bit the impact.

Can't get over that Lara/Natasha cover, tbh.

It could easily be Vogue Italia.
