Vogue Nippon January 2010 : Daria Werbowy by Inez & Vinoodh

I love the editorials ^^ Thanks for posting!

Thank you so much for the karma! :)

I will scan Sundsbo and Penetta eds later.

I really do love Summerton's work - it always makes me smile. It's also great that she's using Janete and Melo rather than the usual suspects everybody else is addicted to.

Also, reprints in Vogue Nippon?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Is it just one image or a whole editorial?

^It's not that uncommon for Vogue Nippon to reprint editorials in their supplements, so it's nothing to be alarmed about.

I forgot to scan sorry! :p

I am 'trimming' Sundsbo ed now. Wait a second....

While the inside features look surprisingly strong, the cover is horrible. "Horrible" is literally the first word that came to my mind when I saw the preview, but I waited until I saw a full version before I made up my mind.

And it's still horrible.

I don't care much for Daria W., and this is a (cover) pose I've seen from her before. Also, this look is just dreadful on her (in this picture, at any rate); if they wanted to style her in a "nomad-like" fashion, why not shoot in the appropriate settings also? As a studio shoot, this look just falls flat.

Amazing portraiture in #27, though! There's a good deal of humor in some of the hairstyles, and I really love the background and lighting to which the models have been photographed. Thanks for posting the scans, Luxx!

You know, I didn't even see that it said supplement. Thanks for reassuring me, I don't know what's wrong with me this week!:(

Solve's editorial looks fantastic, as usual.

Not very good edito, find it quite insipid... who is making the beauty part?

Cameron's ed is really good. Thanks for scanning.

That's what Solve Sundsbo does in only Vogue Nippon, not in any other mags.. That's an interesting ed. Thanks for scanning.

^^that vogue nippon editorial has something of one of the best editorial of jalouse this year. only last 4 pictures !

it was styled by sébastien cambos. somewhere in nothern africa, i think. cannot remember the country, though.

^ is it the one in their October issue?, cause there was a lovely one in there, shot in Tangier and also styled by Cambos.. pretty fantastic.
Both stories seemed to have been inspired by folklore, except Burns' take is a bit more methodical, kind of costume-y, and I loved that Cambos' story was more on the eccentric side, it felt more genuine.

Cameron Russell's ed is TO DIE FOR. I swear I'm so getting this issue just for the ed. Adore it.

wait so is that confirmed as dree hemingway in the "day she saw the city" ed?
