Vogue Paris May 2019 : Rianne van Rompaey by Mikael Jansson

Oh Alt, c’mon... you’re making it extremely hard for me to defend you at this point. We literally just had Rianne on the cover of the March issue! Not to mention this looks more suited to Vogue Netherlands.

I'm sure this was a last minute solution, cause it looks like it's been taken out from an editorial in the issue. I wonder what/who was the plan A, who's pictorial got scrapped?

I had the exact same thought, completely looks like a last minute decision.

I’m really disappointed that it’s Rianne again as much as I like her, especially when models like Imaan are still waiting for their cover.

If that's the case, for me, it's a happy accident. I think that's a nice shot, and it's good to see Vogue Paris going back to more sensual looks, after that unisex obsession a few months back.

As for getting another serving of Rianne... she wouldn't be my favourite model, but it's good to see a magazine consistently supporting someone's career. As long as each cover story is different.

Its an unconventional shot, but stayed true to what VP is under Alt. I like it. Love Rianne.

But I agree, seems like a last minute decision.

A usual VP cover, nice but nothing groundbreaking.
Tbh I am a little disappointed to see her on the cover so soon after her March one.
I want to see new people and talents gracing the covers of VP, not just the same ones.

When I saw this on IG, I was like “What? Her again?”

I mean, I’d rather have her being ubiquitous any day than Gigi, Bella, or Kendall, but two solo covers in a year?

That being said, love the shot. It has an authentic sense of nonchalance that today’s fashion is confusing with pedestrianness. I miss this kind of high-fashion sensuality that had its prevalence in the late 90s-early 00s.

Too much Rianne in VP. I am full. No thanks

Hahahaha, burst out laughing but you're right. We're going into Vittoria Cerreti/Anna Ewers level of overexposure with this girl. It's funny because Alt wasn't overfond of her at first. And for once Perickles can have some justified hating. :pink:

It's certainly the kind of cover I would reject on first sight. Whoever said Dutch Vogue was spot on. I've never been a fan of Alt's particular brand of awkward editorial-as-a-cover covers. The pose doesn't work, the hat is too much that you can't see her face, and it's just too brown. But I suppose in the styling. Safari, French Vogue-style which means no pants.

Vogue Paris March, Vogue Italia April, and Vogue Paris May

A bit much for me but she's stunning per usual.

Every year one model has two vogue paris cover, this year was Rianne...

VP produces interesting editorials, but lately the covers started looking similar, although the concept behind is different. Hope for the future.
