Mundane cover subject aside, I'm amazed at the fashion content. Karlie's edit is similar to something Carine would have done at Vogue Paris. And I cannot resist Carolyn Murphy, Emma Summerton's difference in aesthetics are pleasing also.

I'll pass on this issue. The contents are just lame. Emma Summerton's editorial is a Guy Bourdin wannabe.

I don't see too much of a Guy Bourdin influence, but I've seen eds just like this so many times - especially in magazines like Glamour and Allure.

^i like the perspective in the first shot of Carolyn's ed. the second shot is nice too, almost surrealistic. i could maybe see some Hiro or Rubartelli or even Burbridge...not really feelin the close-up shots with that god awful wig. this ed just leaves me wondering if that less than a handful of items featured is really all that's worthy of mention for the season's beach friendly attire/ accessories?


there's something off about Karlie'd ed...maybe she can't pull off 'FIERCE'


as far as Biel...altho i love the airy, still mood of her ed inside, i feel like any other leading female celebrity could've easily taken her place there i.e. Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Eva Mendez, and this editorial wouldn't have been drastically altered or all that different for it. I can't really tell what Jessica is bringing to this story...that cover feels heavy yet bland; her crazy hair is bringing more sexy back than Jessica's lifeless expression

blah. they've been doing really good but this issue seems a bit lackluster. jessica biel landing the cover should've been an indication. (weak) karlie's spread is fair though.

The Carolyn Murphy ed by Summerton has clear 60s references with the lipstick, wig and perspective...but it sure has nothing at all to do with Bourdin. I've seen eds he shot on beaches but those were at night on a beach consisting mostly of sinister black rocks and the models wore black plastic bags....honestly...he did very little regular glamour beach shots
