W August 2009 : Lara Stone by Steven Klein

The editorial is OK IMO........not her best, but hey, the eyebrows ruin it for.
But what I will say about Lara is that I am totally fascinated by her.
Other models do good eds, but not a lot make you actually stare and come back to the pics again and again. Lara's face is a total revelation in this industry, her body too. Often she has just black slits for eyes, and a predatory scowl but she is still absolutely extraordinary.......she certainly deserves all this attention and hats off to W for giving it to her right now.

Always in anticipation of her next venture.B)

I think this ed is kind of unrecognizable and unarresting at first...however the shots looks beautiful upclose...I'm just annoyed the first shot looks like a rip-off of how McDean shot her in June 2007 new models editorial 'fresh' right down to the hair bow and the pearls.

Yeah I mean that one, in terms of styling, not in pose, I guess it just shows how unversatile Chanel's RTW collections have been that the two pieces look so similar to me in those eds.

And IMO McDean did it better if we're going onto that.

Lara's editorial looks very good. It's very soft and shows a different side of her. She's just so beautiful.
I think I really have to buy this issue.

I LOVE Guinevere's editorial. The styling is completely in sync with the setting, and I see they went to an actual rainforest to shoot this and that also gets points with me. I'd love to see a bigger image of the first shot, because I am loving the perspective of that shot.

Guinevere can do this kind of thing in her sleep......but it's a cool editorial, and her body in the 2nd pic WOW!!!! and love the last shot too.

guinevere's editorial is amazing.
lara's, on the other hand, i'm not liking that much...even though it's one of the rare times we see lara looking soft and pretty, it lacks a punch imo. i love reading her interviews though- she always sounds so natural
