What is the "disco sl*t" look?

Cavalli will probably throw a party when this look becomes a trend :P

does this mean bell bottoms will finally come back? i been anticipating for bell bottom come back for some time now...and i also brought a pair of high waist bell bottoms

those shiny pants worn by the angels on the first page reminds me of Balenciaga's shiny pants s/s 08

Me too! me too! I love the whole 70's disco style especially the bell bottoms:heart::woot:

If that's true, "disco sl*t" is a really craptacular name! Also, I can definitely see scenesters renaming it "disko sl*t" as they did with "new (cough, nu) rave."

i'm not going to lie....i like that better. can we change the name of the thread to that.

b/c disco sl*t is lame compared to Le Disko sl*t(t) haha.

I think this could be a really amazing look

does anyone know a guy version of this. not necessarily disco but 70s. Would the 70s show be a good thing to reference too or something else.

Halston stallion - would that be too obscure B)

i told my friends for ages already that disco is gonna make a comeback. but why listen to good ol' Street.

Can Abba be refered to as Disco sluts?
If so, they might be my favorites in this category.

hehe abba lol.
This seems like a look that's going to be going on in all those 'underground' london clubs.
Can't say I like it to be honest but it sounds like fun.

I'm kind of hoping this will come back, cause even though it sounds trashy, the look I imagine is very chic.

Think Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall at Studio 54, very Tom Ford in his early days at Gucci. Lots of slinky jersey dresses, hair that actually looks like it's been done, flawless makeup, sheer black stockings....

Some looks in YSL s/s 08 kind of made me think disco.

This would be a great trend for both men and women, it definetly brings back to my mind pics from famous discos in the 70s and the celebrities which attended them.

I think the American Apparel stuff is a little more 80's Disco sl*t is more in the vein of Halston dresses, loose goddess draping, toga-style dresses in silk, greens, reds, purples. I think what Alber Elbaz did at Lanvin for spring is very late seventies glamour, also Balmain, YSL, Hermes. Like Spike said, think Jerry Hall and Bianca Jagger, Tom Ford.

This is honestly my favorite time. The music, the energy, the art scene (especially in New York), the nightlife... I couldn't think of a better time to revisit. I just hope it's done well, with two parts sophistication, one part decadence, and a dash of rock and roll.
