^ So if that and other rumors are true, LVMH gets Carine fired from Vogue only to turn around and hire her at Dior?

^ Carine Roitfeld working at Dior? What the hell? I hope it doesn't turn into Balmain....yeesh.

Riccardo and Carine? Ugh, not promising. I just have a hard time picturing either of them doing feminine and ladylike, and while goth sexy is great for Givenchy and Gucci, I don't think it works for Dior.

^ Galliano has done slightly gothic or gothic inspired collections before, especially Haute Couture. Riccardo is a master when it comes to combining those 2 things.

^ exactly. his aesthetic might not be similiar to dior's , but the 'too dark/gothic' comments make no sense, galliano, in his prime, has done extremely dark collections.

^ The later collections, however- as poorly made as they may have been- were still much truer to the Dior aesthetic. What is the point of having a legacy house if you don't live up to that legacy? Tisci taking over for the John Galliano label would be one thing, but he isn't... he's taking over Christian Dior.

As much as I'm still not feeling Tisci for Dior, I actually might get a bit excited if Carine's going to be involved.

I`m more excited to here Carine on Dior. Atleast Carine can touch a bit more feminine side on Riccardo`s goth ideas

I saw it from internet, it's offically that Riccardo Tiscci and Carine Roitfeld are working on Dior together and Haider is working on Givenchy. it's from a frecnh website, so probably it's ture

Mind posting the website where you got this information?

Tisci = the designer, Roitfeld = the consultant? Two halves make a whole- but Tisci never came across as the type who'd shared a vision with another person, let along take on Dior's Parisian, tongue-in-cheek, coy-fullness......

i think the announcement will just be a formality, given the websites that seem to confirm the tisci move to dior along with ms roitfeld.. anyhow, i'm excited. change is always good and inevitable so i'm all for it.

Even before the Galliano incident, Carine said she had something new lined up. If she's going to Dior then perhaps she would've gone there with or without Tisci.

^ where does it say it's official though, i mean i won't consider anything 'official' till lvmh comes out and announces it

Riccardo and Carine??? i don't think i have anything nice to say....

As long as Carine is involved, I may be excited for Riccardo in the house. In fact I'm really curious what would they do with Dior, and although I can agree that their aesthetic may not be fitting the original Christian Dior image, some of Galliano's collections weren't either.

I just can't see Ricardo at Dior, the don't match at all.

so has it been made official^? I was watching fashion police last night (don't you dare judge me.. it was on TV when I sat down on the couch!) and George Kotsiopoulos, one of the hosts, casually dropped that Tisci was confirmed for Dior like it was no big deal. I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

^ Yeah, I saw that too. I think it's stupid of him to announce it as if it's been confirmed by Dior, when it hasn't. I would definitely take it with a grain of salt and wait for the official announcement.

I just though to myself, why would you say that with such assertion? Unless he knows something we don't, which I highly doubt.

yeah exactly. He said it so confidently like it was something that's been confirmed for weeks. Even the other hosts were like "uh what?!". Until I see the Press Release from Dior, i'm not believing anything lol
