, Tommy Girl for just around, and this really nice Raspberry spritzy stuff i mix myself for spring days I "rotate" as well one of my everyday perfumes is a vanilla/lemon scent as well..Intuition by Estee Lauder.ShadeOfRed said:I rotate a few - I wear a light vanila/lemon scent during the day..
leyla m. said:i tend to go for more traditional parfumeurs (when i am looking for a new one) such as ANNICK GOUTTAL and L'ARTISAN PARFUMEUR etc. they do great natural scents and are rare
some of ANNICK GOUTTAL perfumes.Yes I think its one of the most interesting new (well not so new anymore..) scents on the market these days. Usually I'd go for more girly perfume scents...but the strong peppery basenotes are really intriguing. and as Lena mentioned the bottle is gorgeousAstrid21 said:Has anyone had a chance to smell the new McQueen Kingdom scent?
I dislike Angel so much (gag reflex)..and I don't think Kingdom smells anything like it.humble balmy gore said:I have smeeled the new Mcqueen fragrance. It smells exactly like angel. Its a little to sweet I think.

HBoogie said:I'm looking for a signature perfume, too. I also like vanilla/foody scents.
Lately I've just been using body sprays, like Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar and Coconut Lime Verbena (I don't normally go for citrus/fresh notes, but the coconut balances out the crispness of the lime and makes me smell like a margarita). The sprays are fine for going to class and stuff, but I'm looking for a real perfume for special occasions.![]()
DunandaFalls said:I almost forgot to list my signature scents. I have a load of fragrances but the two I like most in the summer are Frederic Malle En Passant and Hermes Un Jardin en Méditerranée. And in the winter, Costume National Scent Intense and Comme des Garcons 2.
faust said:Good taste. Tell us more about Frederic Malle.
nqth said:I tried a few F. Malle fragrances and the winners are En Passant, Musc Ravageur and Vetiver Extraordinaire. EP is very light, floral, dreamy, like a creamy cloud of white dust of a flower. Very lazy scent:-) this one is made by Olivia Giacobetti, who makes super light perfumes. She is behind paris Iunx, and Hiris for Hermes.
MR is all about musc at the extreme, sweet, animal, rugged, most daringly "cow-y":-)) VE is very complexed vetiver scent. Dark, smoky, wet and piney like the air of a forest at the storm, but then dries down a very light, very refreshing, a bit old-fashioned, after the rain scent.
I also tried Iris Poudre (not very powdery to me tho) and Lys Méditerranée (strong, acid lily:-) But the three above are my fav.
You can see all the perfumes here

faust said:Thanks! I'm looking for a new perfume for my wife, to replace La Petite Cherrie by Annick Goutal (although I think it's become such a perennial favorite that I might just get another bottle). Do you think En Passant will work?

faust said:One more thing, ngth. Have you smelled Floret by Antonia's Flowers?

If so, how would En Passant compare? Thanks![]()
Pause at the edge of a garden in springtime and breathe in fragrant lilac whipped by the wind and you get… EN PASSANT Olivia Giacobetti's "impressionistic" fragrance plays with one simple note - white lilac - captured at an instant in time. The composition glorifies this scent from nature and marries it to watery notes, orange tree leaves, cucumber and wheat. Radiant and serene.
nqth said:I am sorry I don't know the other scents, Faust:-) But En Passant is a "bluring" scent with white liliac, rather than lily of the valley and tuberose (as in Floret). I think that tuberose could be a bit too sweet and strong, but floral scents are very dependable on one's skin.
If the AG is fruity (peach) and daringly sweet (vanilla), as the description on her page, it will be compl. different from En Passant.
Barneys has FM. Just give it a try, Faust:-)
