^ I have to agree.
I mean, I was never head over heels for what he did early on, it was a little fussy for me, but this new stuff he's doing just isn't working for me. I'd say he peaked with f/w 07.
This is all so tortured, painfully avant garde instead of just being what it's meant to be.
I know its being praised and all and some of the clothes are beautiful , but I think in order to win accolades (since anything mimimalistic now is cool apparently) but this show portrays women as emotionless robots , and isnt the ysl woman about a strong woman but one with emotions and a french sensiblity, pilati had that in his earlier collections but lost it along the way , but ironically his mens line was full of it. The YSL womens lie , I have to say , is not a patch on his YSL mens line, the man cuts the most coolest blazers and sexy nonchalant pants ( he was wearing them at the end of this show) .
so he needs stick to that romantic tailoring he has and for the love of god , make some flattering pants !!!

i really don't like that light blue jacket at the end, it might work with an entirely different outfit...but i felt pretty much
when i saw it
