I have to say that while I agree with the many people who find the collection somewhat unflattering, I still love and admire it for the spirit it was made in: austere, razor-sharp, all about the silhouette (even if the pants don't create the best shape. On the other hand, the nipped waists were wonderful!) I don't find it obviously retro either, there seems to be something fresh about it, thought it's a little on the serious side overall. Still, it oozes awesomeness. Accessories especially: I love those big black belts with the slender connecting silver square, the chain-metal (or whatever it is) necklaces, belts and bracelets that still look elegant and delicate, and that wonderful close-up of the structured sleeve with the gold buttons which almost seems like an ivory arm-plate or some kind of armor (especially cool when juxtaposed with the sleeve that billows out above it.) I'm hoping more designers will turn in this general aesthetic direction soon
This is a great collection. I love it!! Its sooo on point, fierce, HOTTT!! I love the black lipstick, the hair, everything... It does give such a futuristic look. I saw this on the covers of Paris Vogue, and I wanted to buy it sooo bad. I don't have the money for it right now. Everytime I went into that store I couldn't help but to stare at the cover because this is collection is sooo.... good!!
there's a new thread interviewing Stefano and it's all jsut a couple of days before the show and the same day with the final rehearsal.
the more i read about him, the more i like him!

I really like this collection!
Since I first saw it I loved it. It's weird because it's not really a Saint Laurent collection, but to me it's the most "pilati" collection of all.
I like how radical it is for this particular house. This is also the collection when the Tribute Two shoes were presented. Needless to say, a big big big commercial success.
This and A/W 07-08 are my favourite (and, in my opinion, Pilati's best) collections from Yves Saint Laurent.
And of course, one of my favourite shows - the set, the music, the wigs, all incredible and outstanding from anything else.
