OMG! How old are you? 5, 10? :innocent:

^I wasn't trying to be immature- I just meant I love the collection dispite what any critics might have to say about it

there were parts of it I didn't like- I was not overly impressed with the tartan

but there were some enchanting dresses- especially

This gold embroidered one

it is kate at the end. rather, a hologram of her. you can see the video (awesome by the way) on his website. the photos have been out for a while, and i agree, it's fabulous to have mcqueen back. although i did like his last collection. whatever he does looks amazing.... *sigh*
i just did a project on him in fact.

Just some proof that celebrities get things way before normal people do... From F/W 2006 Menswear show (not sure why it was in the menswear show)...

Mmm I like the show version a bit more, Cate could have carried it off just fine, she has a beautiful body...

I think Cate is a bit thinner and less curvy then the model, making the dress look like it doesnt fit as well... and i think the show version looks better with less material on the bottom.

But i am not saying that Cate doesn't look beautiful anyway becasue she totally does...

^Me too. The hair and makeup looks a little blah but her body and the dress look phenomenal.

Thank goodness for Cate Blanchett. She always does McQueen justice on the red carpet. I think SJP looked terrible at the CFDA awards in that garish tartan. My favorites from this collection (not AM at his best IMO, but whatev):

It's a bit much to damn people whose opinions you don't agree with, especially over such an inconsequential thing as fashion...anyway, yes, I goofed :), should be "in the black", i.e., to make money again. I can't blame McQueen for tapping into the "Sex&TheCity" market, and making Oscar-worthy dresses, though I still don't know if it's the right strategy because the Oscars and Society Balls are also about brand names and business sponsorship, etc. For sure McQueen is more deserving of heading a big brand than say, Marc Jacobs in terms of talent, even Galliano's Dior is in need of McQueen's refinement and couture ideas and finishes. But...in the deepest of my heart (and it seems a few others who love him), it's just not enough to do beautiful frocks, especially from McQueen. Couldn't he have sent out a few more conceptual and untested pieces amidst the beautiful doll clothes? And the gimmicks didn't help his credibility...with clothes this purely couture, he could have aimed for a more stark and simple presentation to give an edge that is sorely missing.

I didnt realize that the sarah jessica parker tartan thingy was mcqueen, ahahah that was pretty awful...

I just got on the reserve for the feather pumps. They are getting a few wedges. Not a full size run of the feather wedges and not a full size run of the feather pumps, but I am glad I secured my size!
wow, they are amazing.

are you going to get any of the clothes? if not, what do you plan on wearing the shoes with? they seem like such a bold piece

Ankle boots

Anyone know when these shoes will be available? And how much they will retail for?
