I'm not sure about this. The collection sure is McQueen-ish, but it lacks, emmm... the edge? I have always loved McQueen for the drama and the darkness, and the agression, and it seems to me that all these things have been narrowed down. And another thing about McQueen -- he always surprised me doing something unexpected season after season, and I think it will be the true test for Burton, because from what I can see, she's more or less doing the old McQueen aesthetic over and over again. I wonder if she'll come up with any ideas as great as McQueen's.
However, this is a resort collection after all, and I hope to see something more in the following collections.

^ Yes. She wore a S/S 2010 dress. I think I like the warrior resort dress better than the printed one. The detail was AMAZZZZZING to see in HD. I loved it!

I am really impressed with this collection. Was really skeptical cuz its not McQueen but i am sure that the label is in good hands. Very well done and beautiful designs. Love this.

I agree. The collection was great, but wayyyy too toned down for McQueen. It is very very hard to replicate a genius like Lee, but she handled it well. It is a little too modest for a McQueen line though. Lee would have wanted a little more bold, a little more drastic beauty. BUT it is still a good collection. I also am weary of her being able to come up with designs as good as Lees. again.. no one can ever be McQueen. he was one in a million.
