I love this. This is really what fashion is (should be) about, IMO. It's fresh, innovative, cool and at the same time so beautiful and a lot of it is quite wearable. Very awesome.

I also wanted to say that I too like feathers.

I want each and every one of the shoes.
They're all perfect.

It's a beautiful collection but nothing to get excited about imo.
The shoes are gorgeous though

oh my goodness, this is simply tremendous...i love the bird-inspired pieces, and that butterfly headdress swoooooooon

well he may very well be some sort of genius but these clothes do absolutely nothing for me..

Since a lot of people seem not to know this piece of information, here it goes...

(PARIS) IN MEMORIAM: Alexander McQueen left no doubt as to whom his Friday night show, themed "La Dame Bleue," is dedicated to: his friend, the late Isabella Blow, who passed in May. The designer's oversized invitation arrived in a large sealed tube Wednesday, and in it was a poster-size illustration by Richard Gray of the late 48-year old fashion muse. Blow is vibrantly featured clad in a McQueen dress and signature Philip Treacy headpiece, stationed on a horse-drawn carriage being uplifted to heaven. Fortunately for those attending the show, a more manageable pocket-sized entrance ticket was clipped along with each poster.

one day you're in...

It's interesting how time has tamed the beast. He struck a nice balence between mourning one of the few women with enough character to wear his show pieces and put a somewhat fresh foot forward, relying on silhouettes and styling tricks that he's usually associated with. Being that its a tribute collection (and heart achingly beautiful in some spots) the fact that he's yet again not put forth anything 'new' can be ignored. For now. What's clear is that his talent remains an embarassment of riches. Ghesquiere and Simons (I'd even throw Thom Browne in there) are really pushing it forward, you hope McQueen, despite these delays, is not far behind given that his eye could really do everyone else in.
