Alice Temperley for Target

I ordered the long gray cardigan in small since the black sweater I got seemed to be running larger. As of now I don't really see anything else I want from this collection.

I ordered the long sweater and a yellow top.

When I first saw this stuff, I thought I would get nearly everything but I've cooled on almost all of the items. I hope the sweater is nice in person or it's going back.

I haven't ordered anything because of Target's infamous odd sizing. I'd rather go to my local store and get the right size than have to deal with returning items. :(

I went to one of the close targets by me and they had the signs up but no clothing yet.

I am just glad I got to target.com in time. interesting to see it!

UGH--I've been checking my local Target everyday for the last three days in hopes that they'll put it up early. It's not even up today even though today's the big day.

I'm sorry to hear that the quality is disappointing, but it seems like the stuff I really wanted (the white leaf print sweater and the ivory cropped jacket) are winners. For those of you who tried on or have the sweater or the jacket, would you say it fits true to size? I'm usually a Medium or Large and I just wanted to be sure before I buy them online. Thanks in advance!

i went to a different target today that had a lot more of the stuff (the long grey cardigan, a few more dresses and tunics etc)

i picked up the grey cardigan (am wearing it right now for a test drive :p)
might have to bring it back though because i've spent so much money in the last couple days

the leather jacket i bought yesterday is also going back..
i think i can find better when it comes to a leather jacket and i also ended up getting another (more expensive) andrew marc jacket today that i think i will get more wear out of..
made my decision a little easier..

just came back from target, where i was nearly drowned in a sea of synthetic fabrics. oh why oh why, no silk or wool? even the chiffon shirts felt stiff and constricting.

at first i wanted a lot from this collection but like a few others i've cooled off on it...i think some of the items would be hard to mix into my existing wardrobe. but i did order the vest and the sheer white swiss dot shirt. anyone have these? how is the sizing running on them?

I hit my local Target today for this collection (no Kohl's though, Mr Princessimp and I were at Zara earlier, so no more shopping for him!)

The sizing is really a little odd - small was too snug for me on some of the blouses while I could fit into an xs for black babydoll dress. (it's not online though).
I tried on the military wool cropped jacket in blue, but I didn't get it as the

material was awful! It looks great in the pictures on target.com, but IRL it's really stiff and the material just hangs on your body, makes me feel like I have really broad shoulders!

Most of the material for the blouses were a little sheer and wrinkly, but the
Victorian ruffle-front blouses were surprisingly stunning! I was afraid they

would be too "ruffle-y" and Shakespearean like for sensible wear, but I like them so much that I ended up getting them in both grey and white.

I also ended up getting the vest, which is very slimming and the leaf print sweater - that's a really cute piece. I also picked up a pair of jodphr-ish cropped pants in blue. The sailor pants are pretty cute but I'm still thinking them over.
I can't decide on the sweater coat - it looked a little too robe-like on me, but then it could just be me!

I tried on the vest, it runs a size larger - I'm usually a S but I got a M for this and the fit was just right.

i found this pic on mystylediary. the dress looks great.

princessimp the robe comment is right on!
that's my concern about the long sweater..

i found the sizing to be kind of all over the place too...
and didn't like the material for those cropped jackets either..

i got the grey victorian blouse as well..
couldn't find a small in grey when i went to another target today so i ordered it online a little while ago..
although it's a bit snug at the shoulders it just looks better than the medium on me..

have pics of some of the stuff i tried on..
will post in a little bit with comments ^_^

^please do, Chrissy!

lucy, that's the dress that I tried on..the blouses in S were snug on me, but I could wear this dress in XS, it's really cute, but I'm not sure if it was me, so I didn't get it.
But now this post (reminder) is making me wonder if I did the right thing.

I went to three different Targets today and was surprised by how much they had changed the collection since they released pictures. I was also surprised by how none of the stuff I wanted was in the store. I was dead set on getting the blue jacket but I couldn't find it at any of the stores in any size or on the website so I think it must not be out yet. I also couldn't find the black long sleeve dress.

I was happily surprised to find the black sleeveless dress and the leather jacket. Also I tried on some of the shirts and they're cut really well!! Still I didn't buy anything although I probably would of had the shirts not been made out of polyester.

too bad the website doesn't have all the dresses or coats yet! i ordered the victorian blouse in white and grey in various sizes online (given how all over the place people's experiences have been, i can always take back the one's that don't fit), and the swiss dot blouse in blue, i really wanted the black dress and the velvet jacket

My local Target had the stuff out today.

It wasn't everything in the line, but most of it is either too small or too "young" for me.

However, the grey blouse was a stunner. Wow! I bought one.

went offline earlier and totally forgot to post pics!
will do so now :p

blk and blue blouse with the tie-front..
didn't get this because i really didn't like the fit on me
some of the buttons gape open and then the bottom shows some skin because of the way it is cut...
just made me feel matronly
*and i'm only 23! :o

the grey ruffly top.. the first row is size small (with the button missing in the middle)
and the second row is size medium..
i think i'm going to go with the small..
neither fit perfectly but the small looked better imo..
(and in my mother's opinion as well )

grey dress..
wasn't crazy about it when i tried it on, and didn't think the material was that great..
thin and wrinkly :ermm:
didn't end up buying this one..

long belted sweater..
bought this today..
not sure if i'm keeping it because of the whole bathrobe similarity..
will think about it..

also.. got this skirt
good basic, easy to wear short black skirt

Have you noticed....that a lot of designers now don't know how to cut for people with boobs? Maybe it's because they design their stuff for clothes hangers...
