All Black... All The Time!

In the summer looks horrid(hot weather). but in the winter the all black outfit looks great.

I'd love to wear a rainbow every day
And tell the world that everything's OK
But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back
'Till things are brighter, I'm the Man In Black

- "Man In Black" by Johnny Cash

I think the original Man In Black himself said it best. He was also one of the best to wear all black - it never looked boring on him.

I do it all the time and I'm constantly getting called goth and emo, which is completely stupid because my actual outfit doesn't look goth at all. Maybe the fact that I have pale skin and naturally black hair has something to do with it, but whatever. I don't really care what other people say. I think it's chic and I love it.

What I don't love is when my blacks don't match. Like one shade is darker/lighter than another. Does anyone else have that problem?

I have the same coloring. Isn't it frustrating? Everyone has always thought I was depressed or worse. The only color which makes me look awesome is black. But to avoid the stupid stereotype outside of wintertime, I like to wear lighter pants... particularly grey jeans, but I'm having a hardass time finding them lately.

Certain black materials just don't mesh. But I try to ignore it myself unless it's really obvious. The best thing you can do is keep everything really black. I wash blacks with woolite in cold water. But haven't you noticed that in pictures the differences become really obvious? It's inescapable. :ninja:

I LOVE IT.

Specially black skinny jeans with black shoes, it makes your legs look so long.

I like it, to an extent. I'm quite pale with dark brown hair, so it looks not so flattering on me (at least IMO). I love black skinny jeans with a black blazer or jacket, but I'd offset the all-black look with a white shirt and a scarf with some color. Wearing all black is very "chic", but where's the fun? Fashion is a little bit of creativity & art. You lose that, when you lose some color.

Black jacket, dress pants, black brogues, and a bright belt...in the fall/winter. All black for the spring/summer seasons is way too..well, funeral for me.

What I don't love is when my blacks don't match. Like one shade is darker/lighter than another. Does anyone else have that problem?

I agree with this. Sometimes wearing blacks that are a few shades lighter or darker works and other times it doesn't. It mostly depends on the style, fit, etc

But I doubt I ever dressed in all black clothing with the same exact shade. One was always lighter or darker than the other.

i usually don't realize that i'm wearing all black until after i'm fully dressed
but i do love it it's very easy to do... but i try to challenge myself a bit by NOT using all black... it's too easy to do... but it is still chic

I love wearing all black, most of the tops i own are black anyways so its hard too avoid. i dont look at the color as something depressing, i see it as sophsicated

I love wearing black clothes, usually in the winter I wear jeans, black shirt, black jacket,dr marteens,my long black scarf, but in summer I combine black with details that are from other colours.

I have a question how do people feel about all black combinations with black hair? I personally love wearing all black but my hair is black/very very dark brown and I just don't think it looks as good with those who have blond hair or are brunette as they're isn't much contrast.

I have dark brown hair and often ( close to every day :ninja: ) wear all black... I think it's a good look on those with dark hair as much as those with light... I find it sexy and mysterious :brows:

i have black hair and there were some times where i wore black cardigan with black pencil skirt with black tights and black combat boots. the only color thing i had was paint splatters on my black wayfarers. i think this was on valentines day this year hehe
i dont know what people think of it. i just wear it...i like black a lot

^ don't wish too soon. I'll be wearing full black in mourning of the summer. I hate winter.

I usually never wear black in the summer (unless I am wearing black shoes) because I stay with my parents. They live in Phoenix where it is unbearably hot!

In the winter, though, I love to wear all black. I don't think it looks depressing if you wear it well and you don't have a depressed attitude!

I hate wearing all black. I had to everyday for a year when I went to cosmetology school. Ugh! The only way I like it on other people is if there is a colored accessory, or unless they're goth.

I love wearing all black during fall and winter months, occasionally in summer (but rarely). I am trying to incorporate more color into my fall and winter wardrobe though.
