Armani Privé Haute Couture S/S 2010 Paris

Wow. An amazing collection as a whole. Love all the fabrics used. Most has a sense of mystery to it (was it tissue paper, or bubble wrap..what? what?)

The 'couturistic' is very apparent as all dresses look like theyre specially made for the model unlike the other way round.

thank you, Giorgio.

btw, this may seem out of topic but other than Anna Hathaway whom I adore soo much, is there any kind of Tavis, Kanyes or Ambers attending the Armani Prive show?

just wondering as i did not see any publicity on that. i'd rather not have them there. in fact, i'd love Giorgio even more than Karl for that! lol

This collection is very Armani. Beautifuly made, clean, chic, and elegant. I love this collection and I think its his best one yet. Out of this enitre collection there may have been only 3 or 4 peices that I did not like.

I don't know if this has already been said (I looked at a couple of posts and the entire collection only) but everything seems soo refreshing. The colors palette especially. I love it

This really is a stand out show. While the gowns are nice. The standouts for me are the suits at the beginning. I would just love to see those worn on the red carpet.

I wish he would not have the fabrics done with the kind of lacquered/plastic shine...it makes them instantly cheap. And some of the alexis carrington shaped jackets look so dated.

I love how Vlada's transparent cover looks like a full moon, that's so cute.

Exactly what I wa going to say. I love the constant of the lunar throughout the entire collection. Best H/C so far by a long long way.

Several scenes from the collection.
I love the back of Linda Vojtova's gown.:heart:
And the so-called "bubble wrap" dresses look even better on video than they do in pictures.

The day wear's giving me mad Sailor Moon flashbacks, which I don't hate. And it would be ncie to see these pieces dazzling in person.

Lovely, I like this very interesting take on the ethereal. Using the moon as a reference point could have turned out very tacky, but the experimentation with materials and shapes turned out very thought-provoking and lovely.

Amazing collection! I love the theme behind it. The moon pins were spectacular, as well as the quality of fabrics that were used. flawless.

I have to say I think he did an amazing job  It was really experimental. It's easy for me to dislike clean lines and a lot of structure, to be honest. But the colors and fabrics and the lunar incorporation were risks that really paid off!
I'd love to see some pieces on the red carpet :D

I love the moon theme. The whole near/far side of the moon in the dresses and the luminescence of the gowns. Really wonderful.

This whole collection (which is my favourite of all couture shows this season) reminds me of Antonín Dvořák's opera "Rusalka" (Song to the Moon) It is about this mermaid who is searching for her love and as she sings her song to the moon, she is asking for it to find him and bring him to her. Sarah Brightman did her version of the song, called La Luna :flower:
