Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Are Married

I'm aware of that. Still doesn't make them any less hypocritical.
How is that hypocritical? They're going to use all the money they get for these pictures for a good cause. Show me any other celebs who do that.

Really surprised they gave away the pics and quite a few of them intimate (the kids, the kiss...) and then wonder why the pleibs are interested in their private lives like most celebs

Did they ever say anything about it? cause I always thought they´re very open to the public about their relationship and kids.

See, I don't know why the use of money towards charity absolves them of using their private lives in a manipulative manner. Besides, philanthropy isn't their only goal by allowing access to these images. They're no different than a D-lister tipping paps off and turning a gas station stop into a photo shoot.

Because they're possibly saving lives? D-listers want fame and money. They don't want to donate their money to charities or adopt children from poor countries or use their image for something positive and selfless. Besides, Brad and Angie are famous, they don't need any more promotion than they currently get. I just find it strange that they get slammed for doing something good. You just can't please everyone, can you?

I don't like that dress but she looked so blissful and it's cute that her children's drawings are on it.

Let's not get sanctimonious here and I wasn't aware that celebrities with lesser stardom are unable to donate their money or time to needed causes as you explicitly stated. Perhaps generosity is a quality only reserved for the few as you are implying. Besides, fame isn't constant and even the likes of these two need self-promotion to remain at their state of relevancy. And why wouldn't they allow the personal lives to be plastered on tabloids and also exchange money towards their causes. It's a great 2 for 1 deal, you know, a win-win situation. But if some are unwilling to see it beyond that, that's their perogative

They're also wealthy and don't "need" any more money than they currently have. Yet they are still charging $20 million per film because they want more money. Just like they continue to strategically plan photo ops and release photos, even though they don't "need" any more promotion - they want the publicity.

my question is: did they ever complain about people's attention and curiosity? or all the trappings of fame? cause I dont follow them closely but they always seemed very open to me. So if they chose to sell these pics for whatever reason what is the big deal? if they ever complained then they really are hypocrites no matter if the money goes to charity or not...

I don't think they do. Interviewers always try and get them to say something on the dark side of fame but they never bite.

^Thank you.
Seems to me that they´re very consistent... either because of money or fame, they don´t shy away from the exposure nor they criticize it.
I remember when Jack Black told the press that Angelina was pregnant with twins, they asked her if she was mad and she said she was glad that he said it cause she didn´t know how to break the news to the public.

its' called earning a living. they're livelihood.
if they're going to give the studio so much money why not get a piece of it from their hard work?

Wow, just wow. Where's all the negativity coming from?

that's not the point. the argument was made that B&A don't do things for publicity because they don't need the publicity. by that same logic, they wouldn't charge huge amounts of money because they don't need money either - they have enough now to retire and live comfortably for the rest of their lives. and yet both command a high salary, so why should publicity be any different? not everyone does things because they need to, some people just like it.
