I dont think he means it in the literal sense which otherwise will make him out to be a predatory ******* editor whos in the business to get chicks. i dont think its that.

he says it like it is. people dont care about how noble you are as a model. people dont look to models for role models in life in general, except for how to look well. people look to models ultimately for their beauty (hence the sleep with them adjective). The modelling business is ultimately about looks and exterior beauty to a huge extent. But, granted that if they can deliver in terms of modelling there shouldnt be a problem that they are stuck up in real life though. so his point is actually moot.
