Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why doesn't Burberry show in London?

Milan is much more prestigious ... it seems that no one who's anyone shows in London ;)

I like some of the skirts and jackets of this collection, but there's way too much fur...A huge disappointment, Burberry is usually good.

Because Burberry has a bad rep in London.
LOLOL no :D :D :D
it's because the clothes are made in Italy :D :D :D I talked about it with Prorsum specialist here in NY's Burberry flagship store, where i bought a few F/W 05/06 items (namely: red scarf, metallic tassled scarf and black shoes) - she told me this exact thing, the shows are conducted in Milan, because the stuff is made in Italy! Which makes me think now the red mohair/wool scarf and shoes are made in England, but the metallic tassled striped scarf in Italy - so i'm thinking probably most of the stuff is made in Italy.

now on to the show.... blah!!! i dont' hate it, i don't even mind the fur, but just overall, it's just so.... uninspiring. for some reason i expected bailey to go into a more colorful direction this time around, because i think his F/W 05/06 was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT for both men and women, everything: bags, coats, shoes, gloves, scarves - everything screamed "buy me now!!!", as opposed to this blandness that screams "please, please buy me!!!"

I must admit though i do like some of this stuff, i don't think everything is bland, i do like that golden skirt, the blue ruffled dress, the reddish brown leather trench coat.... not too keen on hats and gloves though. Yes his men's collection was a little bit more appealing, but not by much....i don't think anything really will ever come close to this past Falls collection.

Has anyone been on the burberry web site lately...there is this golden trench coat that Kate Moss is wearing that is just stunning...what do you all think? I called the store here in Miami and they are not getting it in but NYC is bringing it in for the fall....any comments from the thread?

Hi there, I adore the lace trench Gemma is sporting on the runway. Any ideas about how much it would be? Help me out!

Get rid of the fur. Then you're looking at outfits that should be sold pret-a-porter at Etam for £40 each.

Cheap and tacky. And I love prorsum.

okay...what does everyone think of the bronze trench coat used in the fall kate moss ad campaign...it is in Oct US Vogue issue....and I love it.....

love the trench coat!!! even though i can't stand looking at kate moss anymore, she's in so many ads, but she rocked the burberry campaign

I agree, the fur is bad..

The rest is pretty good though. I really like the ruffles and lace a lot, like that skirt on mariacarla and that trench. Nothing exciting or new, as usual with Burberry (not a bad thing necessarily though).

Also.. just curious, and this does not completely have to do with this collection.. but... A lot of people have been referring to collections as cheap looking lately... What do most of you actually meen when you call a collection cheap looking?

okay....I bought the bronze trench with the patent belt and mary janes kate is wearing .....will let you know how it looks in person since it is being shipped to me from the store

I love this coat from the collection - even with the fur, the quilted look is fabby.
