Burberry Prorsum F/W 06.07 Milan

it looks like s/s with some darker colors...:innocent:

and i agree softie on the fur...so unnecessary...

good to see stella tennant back on the runway, but what's with that hair??

The fur on the first coat looks quite bizarre and indulgent.

Overall, a pretty bland collection.

very nice collection, but just one thing, the modern clothes doesn't match with the classic checks bags...

^^ I agree. I think the old and new are clashing instead of mixing. :innocent: I like the second trench, (although not a big fur lover :flower: ) but the first trech looks busy and over the top. Overall very....blah. Just nothing exciting, no point to make, no statement, just whatever kind of clothes. Looks like you would wear it on a rainy day. Not a good thing. :( im sad. I love Burberry Prorsum. *tear

ok..i know it has been said before...
but i am going to have to jump on the bandwagon and declare....

WHAT IS WITH ALL THE FUR IN MILAN?!?!?!.......

a burberry trench should NOT have fur...
that's just wrong......

:ninja:

amen sister! i didn't find the right occasion to say it until this thread...a quilted coat with fur? um:ermm:

Not seeing the print for so many seasons in such a blatant way was a very good thing. I think it's all the Canal St. knockoffs--it looks cheap.

Its okay i guess...maybe fur was cheaper this season and every1 wanted some haha ...i do like mariacarlas look in the outfit cuz it has like a manly zang overal its ok...

What is the difference between Burberry Prorsum and Burberry London? I forgot to ask that!

^ Correct me if I'm wrong, but burberry london is the cheaper version of burberry prorsum. Like d&G and Dolce and Gabanna, see by chloe and chloe, marc and marc jacobs, etc.

Doesn't anyone know where the name burberry prosum came from? Is it 2 last names?

I know!!! It makes her look really old......Oh, I think it's from the Dior haute couture show she did and they had the bleched hair and wigs.

 :yuk:

I read somewhere that 'Prorsum' means "forwards" in Latin...someone correct me if I'm wrong! :flower:

Blaah...I was looking so forward to what Chris Bailey had in store for us this season...very disappointed so far!
I agree the fur is just tacky. I like MariaCarla and Sasha's outfits in the first post, also some of the ruffled skirts, but the overall styling is a bit off imho.
The other clothing look mediocre...and the bags look like Chanel and Ralph Lauren imitations...argh!
I just hope the detailed shots and full collection will change my mind.. :( So far a huge letdown after a great spring collection.

But thank you lacy99 and staticglamour for pics anyway!

Wow I would guess that London would be more expensive lol...i know that its made in london too :D but yea thats kinda odd though...hmmm....thx a lot! I now know

I'm v. disappointed as well....so much press and adulation has been pushed Bailey's way and he comes out with this............worlds away from his S/S06 collection and veering too much on the safe side.

What happened to Mr Bailey? I guess that living all that time in Milano ... has taken its toll ... now he thinks everyone wants to dress like the ladies from Cortina ...

Me no likey

I quite like some of the ruffled dreses ....but its not anything he hasn't done before. I much prefer the colours to those he used for s/s 06 but I too hate the fur. Yes stella looks good I think - I quite like the hair....

Prorsum is the Burberry lne that Bailey designs and its supposed to be the directional high end label under the Burberry umbrella...London is cheaper but the difference I think is more in relation to design apraoch - its more classic Burberry based on the key looks - the trench, the Burberry tartan and lots of less 'fashion-y' clothes.

IMO, it started getting better in the middle when all the ugly fur trimmed coats went away:

Helena I completely agree with all that you said there

and yes prorsum means 'to move forward' in Latin which is basically what the line is. Burberry moving forward...

hmm, nice..
maybe boring for non-Burberry fans..to me, it is so Burberry this season and so nice
