First Celine collection I don't like since Phoebe Philo is back. Maybe because of the shoes and I prefer her work she creates more stiff silhouettes.

This is a good collection? No, this is hideous. The shoes aren't even funny or quirky...I got it when Chri Kane did it-I don't get in when Philo does it. All she did was add fur to the sole of an ortho sandal...

Seems like she is moving away from a single source of design inspiration and caving in to trends here, don't hate it but don't find it fantastic either. I certainly expect a lot more from Celine but this looks really like a mediocre attempt, considering it's showing at Paris.
Don't hate the shoes either, at least the sandals look comfortable but do they even pair well with the clothes, aren't they too casual? The heels look cute and I like the colors but again they seem out of place.

I'm sensing a "comfortable chic" vibe here. The slouchy silks, the softness (including the atrocious shoes), the laid-back layering. It's not groundbreaking, but it's still a beautiful collection.

Completely agree with you! "Comfortable Chic" comes to mind when I first saw this collection. We have to appreciate the fact that Phoebe considered the woman outside clothes first. As for the look of it, yeah, it's not that groundbreaking. I am sure, although, that this collection might sell really well!

On another note, what's with the designers and shoes? It's like "halloween footwear" (this and Prada are the prime examples)

Those shoes are the easiest way to ruin the whole collection, they are all bizzare. Maybe she got an inspiration after a day at the chicken farm.

I'm always glad to see flat shoes (high heels are to your feet what smoking is to your lungs, and that's just the health aspect!) but they look like they'd make your feet sweat. Previously fur, now fuzz, what will be Celine's next shoe lining? Straw?
