hi paris20:
it is pretty small, it will fit the essentials, but that really depends how big your wallet is...it won't fit my current wallet  the mini is more of a night out bag...if you're going to buy a paddy and have just one, get the medium. re neiman's having more minis -- i know each neiman's have ordered 2, but it won't be on-line so call the SA and he/she will tell you if they've sold theirs yet. ^_^

Thanks Nina! I will call them or drop by. I wanted to see it in person and decide if I should buy that or a medium.

hi nina88, would you be able to tell me how heavy the bag is? (the medium is about 1.4 kg...) thanks!
(and being one of those girls who wants to fit her whole day in her bag, i don't think the mini will be practical for me, but hey, it IS cute!)

I'm not questioning the authenticity of bags purchased from NAP, but why in the world would some bags have a tag, some not? I've never heard of that before.

I wouldnt worry about NAP authenticity. they are definitely a trustworthy luxury retailer. Maybe some people just cant find the serial number? I know I had to rummage inside the bag a while before I found it. Its quite well hidden.

i'm guessing it's about .8kg. it has the same size padlock as the medium, but less leather

Hello - been secretly lurking but would love some advice on something. I am considering bidding on a cream paddington on ebay - i know not very smart - and was wondering about serial numbers. are they the same in all bags? the one i like has a number i've never seen before 2-05-53, i've seen 3-05-53 and have only seen 2-05-03 on obvious fakes. any helpful insights would be greatly appreciated.

Do all Paddington's have the same serial numbers? I've noticed on ebay they have 02-05-53 and 03-05-53. The authentic ones I've seen on there have those numbers too?

people have weighed their bags?? that's crazy. as for the numbers on the tags, they're not serial numbers in the sense that each bag has a unique one. I think the first number corresponds to the batch and all the others are the same for all paddingtons (at least for this model -- perhaps the other new styles have different numbers).

Well, I didn't weigh my medium paddy but was told by my SA that it's about 4kg which results in the hefty shipping price - GBP 90!!! Almost choked when she told me the charges . As for the serial #s, I think it's just an indication of when the bag was made e.g. 02-05-53 -- Feb'05 classic paddington

4kg?!! Is it really that hefty for the medium paddy?
It just doesn't feel that heavy when it's empty, even with the padlock on :flower:

the medium paddy is actually approx. 1.4kg, the padlock being 200g.
and yep, i weighed mine:rolleyes:
a friend needed to have an idea before she ordered hers; she can't carry heavy bags after she had this operation - her doctor literally warned her.

what size bag do you guys prefer? med or large? and how much different in size and price?

I think the medium is a perfect size for everyday use. It costs USD$1380, before tax.
I think the large is a little too duffle-y, but I can't remember the price, though I am sure the information can be found if you scroll a few pages back.

Do you guy thinks the small or the bowling paddington is bigger? I'm still not successful in finding the bowling in tan...

I think the bowling is bigger here is the dimension of the bowling from NAP : approximately 34cm / 13.5 inches x 19cm / 7.5 inches x 17cm / 7 inches

idlebunny, i was charged around 60 GBP for shipping to the united states for some things i purchased awhile back, so i guess the 90 doesn't strike me as too shocking since singapore is much farther...

Thanks---Klow-Chloe! That's what I was hoping. So I will keep hunting for the tan bowling!

some measurements from a magazine:

medium paddy: H16xW38xD20
mini paddy: H12xW28xD15 (H14xW29xD16 according to another mag)
vanity: H19xW34xD13

all in centimeters.

I saw a photo of a fake Paddington with the top zipper fully opened like a zipper on a jacket that comes apart. My paddington zipper doesn't come apart like that. Are they suppose to? It looks like it should but I'm afraid to pull on it. Could it be stuck?

Chloe-Babe

Harvy Nichols have a red mini in the window..not sure what they have in stock tho instore

Hi! I have been really enjoying reading this forum for a while. I thought it was about time to say hello to all you paddy lovers. I am quite new to this bag and cannot always tell if a bag is fake. I hope you guys want to help me by looking at these pictures from an ebay listing.

To me the leather looks quite good, not as stiff as some of the replicas you see. The thing is that the price is way too low. Can somebody confirm that the paddington on thse pictures is a fake? This listing has a lot more pictures but I did not want to clutter this thread. Thanks!
