Chloe Paddington Bags (February 2005 - March 2010)

The seller I bought it from had bought two Chloe bags and wanted to keep the original receipt. I didn't have a problem with that as I authenticated the bag here originally with a TFS member. The seller described differences in the first production to the new ones and TFS member confirmed that everything the seller said was correct and scrutinized all the pictures the seller provided. Since mine is from the first production, it looks different from the others so I needed to make sure. It's totally authentic. Yes, I originally bought from ebay.

How is it that you have a copy of the receipt but not the original? I would think that if the purchase was bought from a B&M store, then the original receipt should be kept, to prove genuinity (I am always curious about eBayers claiming authenticity when they really mean genuinity but cannot use the word itself for fear of a legal suit)

WOOT geuss what peeps! chloe bahrain FINALLY recieved my money order andd thjeyre sending the bag to me on saturday morning takes about 2-4 days!!! IM so excited and releived that my money order has FINALLY arrived it was more than 2 weeks for one small cheque to get to bahrain!
damn b/c of the holiday the banks would be close till friday =( that is why they can only send it to me on saturday morning!


i read somewher from someone c ouple of days ago that bahrain has 5 blanc paddi in medium is that right? Hearing from janyoung, the blanc sounds LOVELYY!! i am supposingly getting the fall/autmn cream paddington, does anyone know the differnce between the new blanc and cream or the leather and padlock?

eeek, well i think you will be able to get 1000 for it on ebay, since thats a great price. Just make sure you put up fabulous undeniabley genuine photos. Good luck!

thanks much, I'm certainly going to try! More than 1000 would be great, but I'll take whatever I can get as it's no good to me sitting in my closet I could use the $ to go buy another bag!

Thanks for the info! Is ebay the only option for getting one in the old leather? I was looking at ebay today and there are very, very few authentic paddies...plus I don't feel like I know enough about authenticating them to be confident about purchasing one from ebay....

I wouldn't get one from ebay if you can help it. There are some reputable sellers but it's pretty tough to sort through it all and feel confident. I am almost positive that if you can get your hands on a bordeaux, that you will be getting a A/W '05 bag with the original leather - as a matter of a fact, I'm sure because Chloe did not go forward with that color for spring.
I was going to say that I thought it would be impossible to get an A/W '05 cream but one of the other posts said the Chloe Bahrain still has them - and my understanding is that there is a substantial savings and good customer service from them. That cream is a different color than the S/S '06 ivory color - has a very slight pinkish tone to it - very beautiful.

I saw one on the German ebay. It was pretty much the only authentic one I saw. Take a look, sorry I don't have a number right now.

Mistake !

it seems that the genuine paddy does NOT have serial numbers inside the bag

Ladies .... I just realised where the serial number tag is!

It says "01-06-51-####" Can a paddy expert advise why some tags seen on eBay has only 6 numbers? and mine has 10 digits?

The past seasons bags have the 6 digits serial no ie. 02-05-53 or 03-05-53. It's more or less a batch number rather than a serial number.

oh hang on! the last 2 digits 53 i put on as an example. I don't have my bag with me today so the last two digits may be not 53. I can't remember exactly what it was.

Btw the fake bags have the same number so it can't really be used to determine the authenticity of the bag.

I hate to say it .....sounds like a fake. Coming from a paddy owner. ...Both bags have only the 6 digits. Where did you purchase the bag?

I have two paddingtons as well the tan was from the first season SS05, and the choc brown was from pre-fall both my bags has 6 digits serial number and yes they are definately authentic.

This is the first time I heard that the new bag has 10 digits serial number.

If I recall correctly, mrssparkles purchased her paddy from On Peddar, which is a high-end boutique with branches in Singapore, HK and Malaysia. Think of it as an East-Asian version of Ron Herman or Fred Segal, so I think her paddy should be authentic as it is a reputable retailer.

Maybe other TFS-ers who have the new season's paddies can shed light on this?

Yes, I got my Jean's Moyen from On Pedder. It has to be authentic or else I would murder somebody. I paid just about USD1,600 equivalent. On Pedder is an upmarket boutique that carries Chloe, Mulberry, Luella, Jimmy Choo, etc.

THere's no doubt about the authentiity of bags from On Pedder. Don't worry about that!!!!
Are you talking about pre-collection or s/s06? I wouldn't have thought s/s06 is available yet.
