hey mammab--pls post pixs when you get yours. you always take such great pixs and im really curious to see how you like it. i ordered mine from NM (whiskey as well) but wont be receiving it till february.

jan--i love the blanc paddy!!! such a beautiful color. im debating if i should get it through LVR.

Good point about the black-eye thing....that was so funny I'll post a picture of it tomorrow when I get it so you can all confirm the style. How stupid of me not to ask the SA?! I just heard "whiskey" and said, "send it!" The color is really classic.

you are so welcome -- I can't wait to see the pics. jan is spot on about the lock and another trick to minimize scratches (a whole 'nother unfortunate topic for paddies) is to keep the leather loop that attaches to the zipper on the same side as the lock over the lock plate (it sounds confusing but should make sense when you see the bag).

A quick note about paying duty when buying goods in Europe for the US: I just received some espadrilles that I had ordered from Spain. They were designated as gifts, so no duty, however, the billing said that the duty would have been 10% of the total of the merchandise - this should apply to handbags from Europe as well.
(BTW - check out the website - www.espadrillesetc.com - fabulous customer service!!)

Thanks You ! I saw a Paddigton once with a nylon zipper (I think it was nylon-it looked clear)) so I am confused and will not be able to see the bag prior to purchase. This site and the great gals here have been terrific for me to learn from. Wish I could have a hands on experience before buying, but it isn't possible. Do you think the paddington will be popular for the next few years?

I am not aware of any paddingtons having plastic zippers (eeyuw!) I have one from the first season and it is silver metal, just like the current ones.

Both the dark grey, noir and the light blue, jeans moyen/bleu clair are new for 2006.

If you check LVR and do a search under paddington it gives you 3 categories.
BLUE CLAIR (no category name but if you click on it it gives you an option to purchase the blue or bordeaux)

NEW COLORS (the ones i posted, jaune, blanc, mousse, tan and anthra)

CLASSIC COLORS (choc brown, tan and black)

So, each category has a list of pictures and names.

Under the category I posted, new colors, there is no tan hence no tan picture.
Therefore we still need to identify that one bag

I know. All the pictures I saw too. I was really worried about that because I didn't want a stark white bag. But it is really ivory (not just a little off-white but alot off-white) - I need to post a pic. I took one with my camera but it came out kind of blurry. I'll try again until I get one that shows the true color and post it.

jan, happy to hear you love your bag. Also glad to hear the tax was only 10%..phew..I will order from LVR, but still in limbo about the color.

thanks for the replies LilyGirl and firstcomeslove! i just have a bit of doubt before coz another paddy owner SA told her blue/grey that her paddy's a pre collection piece and it's a limited edition. is there any truth in that?

here is also a s/s'06 trunk show pic that shows the jaune, baby blue with silver hardware, anthracite with silver hardware, and non-limited edition gold.

the only limited edition paddy was the gold with swarovski crystal studded lock in japan. theres a photo in this thread somewhere if you look..

Tan is listed under Classic paddingtons. (along with chocolate and black)

The other ones are listed under New Colors.

craie is the Springsummer of 2005, cream is the autmn/winter of 2005 and blanc is the new spring summer of 2006 am i right? i wonder if theere are any mjaor differences in all these 3 colors esp the autmn and new spring blanc
