unlike linda or naomi :ninja: :innocent:
Seriously, I wish they would just take off already, especially Naomi. It was nice to see some other supermodels on the runway again, though. Kirsty and Shalom looked fab.

yeah, collection is exciting  but I was expecting something diffrent. Anyway, I like collection. Very impressive, as usuall.

Some of these are a bit blurry but you can see all the details really well. I just love it. The second one is my favourite.

If you've ever been to a parade, Ive been to a few, the girls from the Andes (generally Bolivia or Peru) when they walk they spin and twirl in order to get thier skirts to stand straight out, kind of like the models were moving. (1)

I saw the Incan influence in more than just the obvious brightly colored pieces, that dragon thing on that yellow dress (2), the angular heiroglyphics on other dresses(2,3), the black dress (4) had lines and people on it which brought to mind the Nazca lines (which Im surprised Galliano hasnt fully tapped yet). I also felt the two girls with the guns which seemed to be out of place could only be one thing, Pizarro, who went and pillaged the Incans.

Hah! Maybe that is what Galliano was going for. I also noticed those same Incan/Andean influences because those brightly colored dresses are also worn in Ecuador. The Pizarro refrence is very enlightened.

I cant wait to see the whole video.

I certainly think this collection went over my head a bit, especially the choice of models and makeup..

Love the dress on the WWD cover, thanks for sharing! And thanks for those HQ pics Labelbasher! Where did you get them from? I think the pink dress was my least favourite though the details are gorgeous close up. It might be the way Linda wore it but it looked too Versace-y.

fantastic pictures :woot: :flower:

Those HQ's are fantastic! Morgane Dubled is about to be gracing my desktop :P

I found it on the newspaper this morning and I was surprised when I saw it on the news. It's not the first time that Galliano puts peruvian influences in his creations though. I also loved to see supermodels. All was fantastic.

I like the lace outfits, but a lot of it seems to tacky to me...

^ i agree, LostInNJ. i find most of this really tasteless, and it seems amateurish as well. there are a few interesting looks, like the grey dress, but otherwise...it just seems incredibly bad imho.
