My favorites were these

all from style.com

without the bizarre armor and the tights- these dresses will be really beautiful.

Overall this collection made no sense- it jumped around like crazy, and was chock full of stuff that even without the runway theatrics- will still be completely unwearable.

and what's with the spacesuit? Just very Random.

dior_couture: thanks for posting everything!

i just LOVE this dress, there are no words for it.....except: he's a genius!

Absolutely brian. The pale colors, the metallics, the glazed fabrics, those pastel draped dresses toward the end...now I'm dying to see how this translates into rtw.

true, it's, like, too many themes packed into one.....:innocent: and most of it not wearable, but i guess that was the point, it's couture, after all.....

the dresses you just posted are just wonderfully sophisticated, and sooo beautiful!! and probably the only ones still wearable....:p

Uh I started to getting used to this collection... but I HATE those terrible suits and some fabrics are hideous...:ninja: I don't like this collection...

Have you seen the detail shots on style.com? The details are just incredibly awesome. I adore this collection.

i like the first section the most. the alice-in-wonderland section and the Dali-inspired section are hideous and i definitely dont like the fabrics they used in the last section.
if the whole collection was about sequined gowns with armor sleeves like the first five outfits, i would like this collection to death.

I have never seen such lovely colors all mingled together in one show

It is Stam... and the walking letuce looks like Sasha...

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

ok. this actually caused me to burst into hysterical laughter. thanks for that!
:p:p

now ... back to page 5 ... :D

so its perhaps THE single most insane and ridiculous line of clothing i've ever seen in my life....

BUT...

somehow it is exquisite in its absurdity.

the dresses on hana, tiiu and dewi (dewi's reminds me so much of versace) are nice and i like some of the glittery stuff.
maybe the scariest things were the purple costume on alek wek and the HUGE furball coats! but this is a john galliano hc show after all there has to be something outrageous.

and i've noticed that this kind of shoes are becoming a tred perhaps...? (balenciaga, calvin klein resort)

The heels of the shoes are fab! My favourite parts of the show were the punk part and the part with all the suits... I LOVE the suit on Katarina Ivanovska

And could someone explain why those walking letuces (we'll be hearing this expression forever :p ) are 'so Alice in Wonderland'? I'm not really into AiW so I have no clue how they fit in the story?

Edit: Also... this collection marks the return of Natasa Vojnovic and (if I saw it correctly) Eva-Jay Kubatova to the Dior runway

I'm quite bowled over by what I've seen in this collection (the walking lettuces and the red-and-black-dying-remains-of-last-season's-couture-outfits not included, of course). I'm waiting for the video - hope they post it on the Dior site soon.

It might be too early to say, but assuming Galliano's going to use this collection and turn it into next season's (Spring/Summer 2007's) ready-to-wear collection, which few outifts or looks does everyone believe will be likely to form a foundation for Galliano's inspiration?

Personally, I think the light-nude embroidered sheer dress that coralmilk posted (it's the first photo - the one captioned "I like this:") will definitely be one of the looks converted to a more wearble version for next season's RTW collection.
