Coloured tights

...

here's some more great burnt orange from APC.fr

*oh forget it - i can't attach the image...:ermm:

i'll go ahead and start it..
i've got a few free minutes :P

^^ wow they've got quite a variety in terms of colors..
i started a new thread here

called it peep toe tights because i think that staying away from the dreaded stirrup association is a good thing :P

chrissy, good idea. "stirrup" does bring to mind frightful 80's images. :P

Thank you softgrey and tinetush. :flower:

I found this pic on sweetspot.ca

I really want a pair in that color!

I got the Hue yellow tights today at Macy's I love the color. I just got the yellow because every other color they had I can get at Targets cheaper. So Im probably still going to get the blue but Im really obsessed with the yellow. Now the question is... if I wear the yellow with my orange dress would it be weird with black shoes? If I could find a yellow that would blend in it would be amazing but in the mean time I only have black shoes.

i think the black shoes could possibly work..
but brown or something lighter might be better because the blk might look a little "heavy" in he sense that it would pull your eye down..

Yeah thats my only problem with these colored tights... as long as you wear black with them black shoes work but if you wear color then colored tights the shoe choice gets a little rough.

i'm short w/ short legs, so when i wear regular leggings, i pull them down to the middle of my feet (right in the middle of my arch)... i think they look cute, and they keep me warmer that way. it looks like the peeptoe tights, so i'll definitely look into those (and subscribe to the new thread!). B)

Have you tried it on together yet? Is your dress solid orange? I was thinking about getting yellow also, to pair with either black, green's or blue's. I'm picturing a mod 60's look with orange, with a headband and a big funky bead necklace. White shoes or boots could work with that.

I love red or cream coloured tights, but I think really bright purple or blues tend to clash with outfits, unless you are wearing all black.

After lurking on this thread for a while I finally decided to try some colored tights for work. They're cableknit tights that DKNY calls "Ink" but I'd say were closer to Royal Blue (the small pic is the actual color).

I think at this point it's official...I've finally given up on "office appropriate"

^ Very cute!

Can sombody post some inspiring outfits that go with green tights? I just bought them and don't know how to match them with my clothes. I'm trying to not wear black overalls because that'd be a tad boring :flower:

^I don't have any pics. But personally I would wear a black dress or skirt with them, a dark brown cardigan or t-shirt of some sorts, and the add something extra in wine-red.
Or perhaps just a navy colored dress with a black blazer..

I was going to suggest navy with the green. Brown as well. I would stay away from red, being now the holidays you may look to "Christmas-y" or like an elf :D

:buzz: Thanks Tinetush, Jenner and lady.stardust for the ideas. What about wearing a darker shade of green with those tights?

^I think that would look good too..

oh yeah, I would wait a while with the red as well
