Designer Plastic / See-through bags

I detest these. If I had to buy a clear bag for a job or school, I'd buy a cheap one--because that's what they all look regardless, cheap!

in post #7 i credited the pictures from dooney.com and saksfifthavenue.com

the right one could look alright.

they remind me of stripper handbags. Or people that work for retail stores that make you wear them to prevent shortage between assosiates.

I have this courreges white space age looking bag, its lucite actually, and its fantastic.

this used to be cool back in 5th grade...

Until Tiffany noticed that Alice was keeping strange devices in her bag and then learned about the Menstrual Cycle. Whammo! There goes the coolness.

Let's keep it to the pre-pubescent kids, eh?

I guess these see-through bags also help with airport security as well?
None of the examples posted stand out to me - and they are way over-priced.
I love Chanel, but I would never pay that much for what seems like just a plastic bag to me.

the only plastic bag i've ever liked/wanted was isaac mizrahi's tote for vuitton--

I would get the Jumbo Chanel plastic flap and put a smaller Chanel flap inside of it and wear it that way.

 /\ you'd be like one of those crazed grannies who put plastic on their couches!

mizrahi's tote looks bland to me. but maybe all the plastic bags look bland to me. I'm not really liking the shape of the pucci bags, but i love his signature print (on the inside)

Ew. Those Pucci bags look like goldfish bowls. The Mizrahi is the only cute one I can see.

I like how it looks here, it almost looks like one bag. But you'd have to pay double
And I actually like the seethrough bags, in editorials.. ^^like the POP one!! :woot:

its an interesting concept, but, not very practical. i agree- i wouldn't want other people seeing the contents of my usually messy purse. :)

yes cute for the beach, until you get sand stuck in the crevises and tanning lotion staining the leather. believe me I would love to bring one of those clear chanels to the beach, but it's just not practical. not for that price tag atleast:ninja:

I like the idea- espescially for the beach

and I like this one from oscar de la renta-

but I agree with those that say it would be difficult to keep the interior of the bag looking orderly
