Designer Plastic / See-through bags

All those bags pictured would make fabulous beach totes. But those prices!!!

MY GOD!I'm kind of torn on clear bags.
For the privacy issue, on one hand I normally have a messy interior of my handbag and wouldn't want everyone to see the mess, but then I could just use little LeSportSac pouches to organize the little things. I do that anyway and I always have tons of those little pouches.
For the price issue, even the expensive ones look cheap and if I could afford those bags from high end designers, I'd buy a leather one first. Unless I was rich and had so many so it was just a novelty bag. I think that's more what it's intended to be. Just like "look at me, I can drop 15 hundred bucks on a plastic bag". But I'm not rich so I'd buy a cheap version from Target or Urban outfitters or forever21 or something (I haven't seen any yet though). But then if the style already looks cheap, would it just be that much worse in a cheaper version? I can't decide.
It might actually be functional since I sometimes have a missed call sifting through my bag looking for my phone or I can't find my keys if I don't use the key clip or whatever. Maybe bags have become so oversized that they need to be clear so you can find anything in them.
Oh yeah, i almost forgot. I searched for this thread because I was actaully looking for a cheap version. Has anyone seen them? Cute ones? I just got distracted from my original purpose after reading the thread.....

Ok, so US Elle April issue has a page or so about them. Yet of course they are all in the $100s and up range. No way in h*ll am I paying that much for a plastic bag. SO please if anyone sees cute and not-overpriced ones share the info!

I'm on the fence about these bags, I'm on the list for the Chanel naked classic bag lol but not sure if I'm completely sold on it yet. The only thing that would be cool about it would be that my matching chanel flap wallet could be seen in it and that would be cute. a grand for a plastic bag is kind of steep though lol.

i don t know what to think about these bags. i like them but at the same time i don t want people to know what i have inside my purse. but i guess for the beach they re ok.
they remind me too much of the jelly kelly bags from 3/4 yrs ago

Chanel is coming out with some new ones, I'm on the wait for the plastic classic flap and I was quoted like $950 or so which totally isnt bad for Chanel despite it being plastic. They had one for around the same price from a previous season there that was a tote style.
There is something "tacky fun" about these for summer but I can't believe the prices... As if I would pay $1000 for a piece of clear plastic with straps. I might as well just wrap my possessions in saran wrap and save the $999.
