Pucci has been doing well in the past few years, Kenzo not so much.

Vacarello is more an image director than an fashion designer, could take over Charles Helleu at Chanel, who has not the talent of his father

Go ask Delphine Arnault and Pietro Beccari. Under MGC:
- Book tote released: probably the best seller of the brand nowadays
- J'adior slingbacks released: huge commercial success
- Lady DJoy bag released: made Lady Dior bag desiderable to the young masses (was perceived as a granny formal bag back in the days)
- Dior slides with toile de jour print released: huge commercial success
- Saddle revival: huge commercial success
- Haute couture profits skyrocketed
- Ready to wear profits skyrocketed: basic people who don't wanna look like drag queens (wearing Galliano) or quirky intellectuals (wearing Raf Simons) are obsessed with her basic designs.

Remember the world is filled with people with little or even no taste who buy high fashion just to flex the designer tag, MGC is the perfect designer for them.

Fair point @FashionPower! But what you’ve pointed out is that MCG has a great bag designers in her team not necessarily that she is a good designer herself. Her HC skyrocketed largely due to repetitiveness of the same silhouettes inspired by Greco-Roman culture. Her at Gucci might be just a slight improvement as she is as basic in ready to wear as SdS.

What I hate about MissTweed posts is that it completely ignores those « non-competition » agreement that are very important in the strategies of those brands.
After the billions MGC made for Dior, she is not leaving without a non-competition agreement of 1 year. So, it means 1 year of negociations that could at the end, not materialize into the position.

If I was Pinault, I would take PPP for Gucci.

He will be a free agent by March.

Because I don’t think he is going to present good numbers at the Assemblée Générale so…

I wonder if the person leaking the infos are the people from Hennessy that are being fired by Arnault currently over Management issues lol.

It's not very Arnault style to let MGC go and not offer her another position within LVMH after her tremendous commercial success at Dior. I also don't see how she of all people could revamp Gucci creatively speaking but that's another story.

Isn't PPP sort of confirmed for Fendi?
I'm excited at the prospect of JWA for Dior though!

I don’t think PPP could be successful at Gucci… MGC maybe, although same as Valentino with Michele: is the world ready for 10 years more of MGC? I am certainly not.

The JW thing makes sense… but I don’t know, I think I’m getting a little bit tired by his Loewe and he is too cold for a brand like Dior imo.

I remember that around 2020 someone was about to replace MGC, confirmed by top management positions, and finally didn’t happen. It wasn’t even on the news.

I trust Miss Tweed 100% so I guess it will happen.
