Is it weird to say Oscar Wilde is a style icon? I like to think he'd be happy to be considered one. This is my all-time favorite photo of him:

hboogie, oscar wilde is definitely a style icon! and he sure would have loved to be remembered as such. i just recently read a funny story by malcolm mclaren...he wanted to make a musical about oscar wilde discovering rock'n'roll (at the beginning of his career) hollywood paid him for research etc. and then suddenly lost interest. i would have loved to see that.

i also have always loved anne sexton's appearance...
