Dolce & Gabbana F/W 10.11 : Madonna by Steven Klein

Her facial expression...LOL. Doesn't even look like an ad. Doesn't even look like something that Marie Claire would publish in their editorial section. Sloppy.

Nothing special but i'll wait till all the shots are released.

My heart sank a little when I read the title of the thread. I don't mind Madonna for Dolce & Gabbana, but if this is anything like last season, they won't make the most of her. The campaign dresses her up as an Italian woman and gives her these storylines, but there's something missing in most of the images. And it's not due to Madonna - because she's a woman who's spent most of her life in front of a camera, and who works relentlessly with her image.

Lord, this is boring and beyond overrated. I'm dreading seeing this in print, and the other shots from the campaign.
Madonna is terrific. But when connected with Dolce? Not so much. It's becoming kinda annoying.

Wow, another factor to add as to why Dolce has been sh**** lately. They really need to stop with the direction they're taking the label in terms of collections and ad campaigns.

Oh. My. Lord. Madonna again!

Btw, it could be worse if they used not only Madonna but Madonna + Jesus Lutz.

Is Madonna actually Italian?

you seriously didn't know this?

The name alone: Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone... that about says it all!

Btw, I love the ongoing theme myself and the shot looks like old italian cinema, which can never be a bad thing.

And in terms of photoshopping. She doesn't look too bad in the unairbrushed shots made on set the day this campaign was shot.

Oh she is Italian, that makes the ad a little less corny.

Is better of SS2010 But i like

Of course she's italian! Her name's Louise Ciccone, it's not Madonna for real... ahah.

I love the first shot, wanna see more!

Her full birthname is "Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone" so yeah, it actually really IS Madonna! Named after her own mother, Madonna Louise Fortin who was french canadian. Her father was a first generation italian american named Silvio Anthony Ciccone!

What a nice boy, holding his mother's groceries like that :)

I won't say it's terrible, a little boring maybe, but I would like to see more shots of the campaign before finally deciding. I'm hoping the rest of the campaign will get better...
