Dolce & Gabbana S/S 09 : Mariacarla, Caroline & Karlie by Steven Klein

PS. The title needs fixing. No one pointed it out yet, so I'll have to be the annoying one. :flower:
*bumping request, it's almost as eye-hurting as Jil Sanders and Les Chopains*

If this is supposed to be a movie set, there totally needs to be a shot of the "actresses" lounging in hair & makeup wearing these. Well maybe a bit too obvious... you wouldn't want to make it look like nightwear. But I've actually been wondering how they were going to showcase all the pajamas-inspired pieces. Anyway, this looks fine by Dolce & Gabbana à la Klein standards. Bonus points for shooting the eyewear in front of that painting also seen in the second ad, I like the effect.

Thanks for scanning, Luxx and ineedmagenta. :flower:

I've been waiting for this ad and.. bang! mariacarla!! :woot: purrrfect!

Caroline and Mariacarla's expressions are strange..
Karlie looks better!

And I hope this campaign isn't going to be all black.

When I first heard the news that Karlie was in this campaign I was very unsure and surprised, and I thought she looks way too young to be next to Mariacarla and Caroline. But she looks absolutely beautiful in these ads, so grown up and sophisticated!

Mariacarla looks stunning as always, and Caroline seems a little off......

I love this campaign - its very understated but still glamorous.

Finally Steven Klein is proving that he deserves to stay shooting for Dolce&Gabbana.

This reminds me a bit of old Dolce ads from the late 90's and into 2000. I love that the veils give off an Italian widow vibe.

Honestly, my only complaint is Trentini. Compared to MC and Karlie, she's not doing anything good here.

It's not AS bad as I expected considering the randomness of the cast. But I don't really like it either.

:wub:oh my Saint Maria
just quietly sitting there and i'm deeply moved by your expression
YOU make me cry

Okay I'm sharing one picture I've got, can't show too much ^_^

industry source

The whole set is quite stunning actually, it would be better for the campaign pop out one by one for guys see through the magazines :p

.

Thanks surrealseven! :flower:

I'm starting to dislike the campaign..showcasing pajamas in a way that really makes me sleepy..

I like this shot a lot, the set looks stunning indeed, but it seems karlie will always be at the back away from them? Thanks for sharing, Surrealseven :-)

^ thats cos Karlie is FIERCE enough to hold her own at the back! is it just me or does MCB always make everything look like Givenchy?

bewitched witches cast their spell on the last pic
Maria looks like in her early 20s
she's versatility is unpredictably extensive IMO

i was not a fan of the collection, but these ads are nice! i think it would be hard to put out a boring shot with these 3 in the cast!

I'm loving this!! That 3rd shot is stunning AND interesting!

I would have preferred Natasha Poly over Caroline Trentini. She could have really MADE this campaign, no?

MCB definately saved this add. She's the best for me. Karlie looks good to. But Caroline is boring - the same look everywhere.

I think it's not fair to put Karlie in the background when she looks far more better than Trentini, not to mention I'd love to see Natasha in the campaign too. I'm actually quite surprised she wasn't chosen.

it's getting weird, the pajamas that MCB wear is so not in the place, what is the theme actually?? actress pretend to wear pajamas after sleeping with full make up and hair??? need to see more!

What a luxurious pyjama party, I wouldn't mind being part of it
I see some precious ladies from the Versailles period who want to spend their time enjoying secret pleasures during confidential meetings...

But how else were they going to advertise those pieces? It's kind of hard to avoid the weirdness with a collection called "Pigiama Barocco". Half of it looked like actual nightwear.

Why are they hiding Karlie in the back? I hate when they consecutively do that to a model, regardless of who it is. You don't cast top models as extras *coughkasiaandkseniaforguccicough*
