I am surprised, this looks faar more tamed than his usual stuff, and thank god for that.I think there is quite alot here that can be actually worn, with or without modification.

this is insane...insanely beautiful collection. i still can't believe this is the same guy i saw on tv who was rejected because they (the two loser from dsquared) thought his design was too drama and basically has more future in theater costume design!

I have been yawning :yuk: through all the other fashion weeks waiting for the Paris shows to start! Finally! Gareth started it off right!

Wearable schmearable, he could always have a commercial collection back at the showroom you know (does he?). He's selling at Barneys, in case you hadnt heard, so its viability is now a consideration.

Whether I like it or not is irrelevant.
GARETH, YOU ARE THE FUTURE!

From what I've seen of his commercial stuff online it's very toned down, to the point where it's almost boring.

This is why I love Paris Fashion Week!
Everything is so artistic and avant garde!

This was really amazing!! He is trurly visionary. You can't even compare his work to anybody because its so incredibly unique!

Obviously the closing pieces were some of the more avant-garde show pieces.

Call me insane, but I actually saw a lot of wearability in this collection. The jackets, the pants and some of the dresses were all extremely wearable.

:innocent:

The first few looks showed promise, but after that it slips into familiarity, and to be honest, becomes boring.

Im loving this! Far more wearable than his previous work but still very much Pugh. What a great show to start off the week with

I saw some inspiration from Japanese samurai's armor....

the collection is incredible.

Wow, architectural concept is prevailing this season. Such a futuristic collection!

Ahh Paris has arrived ...no more inspid boring clothes!! I love this collection!

I'm going to be one of the few who are not *that* impressed. I liked his past collections because there's something new in the shapes and textures he created. They were theatrical but not costumes. Apart from a few pieces here, eg. a couple of coatdresses, these are the usual Elizabethan costumes but interpreted in a space-age galactic way. Looks like some past Royal Antwerpen Academy projects, and didn't Tisci do these ruffs a couple of seasons back, and Balenciaga the robotic influences? I've no problems with wearability, but this isn't fresh, and too much into costume territorry.
