i think i know which one you're talking about... it's the one featured in blue vernis horsebit in the ads i believe. they didn't do horsebit vernis in brown, but they do have matte guccissima leather in brown... i don't know if they used this leather on their hobos though...
 
yes that's the one i was referring to... are you looking for brown vernis, brown guccissima, or just brown on the sides of the canvas? there's a chance it may have been made in brown guccissima, but i'm pretty sure NOT in brown/canvas
 
Have you seen the new resort line that is coming out?
Some of the bags look WONDERFUL! :)
I love the new red trim they're using...and the white is nice and clean as well...but I've always had a weakness for red bags. I think you will like the new line, it's very classic looking!
 
The Gucci website drives me mad :angry: half the stock they don't seem to have pictures of, and other items from this season aren't even on there!

Anyway, i'm pretty certain (well about 80%!) that they do this one in with brown leather trim - but it has the horsebit monogram rather than the GG.

I'm pretty sure I saw it in the brown in one of the Gucci stores in Italy, and I think in one of the outlets in the UK. I was fixated by the blue version at the time, so didn't take too much notice of the brown trimmed one, but all the blue trimmed horsebit monogram bags seemed to come in brown as well...^_^

After going back and forth between the beige and the black GG canvas I have now almost convinced myself to get the black one. Even though I've already got the medium horsebit hobo in the same material and colour I think I'll be more comfortable with the black bag. It's such a huge bag and I think that monograms look better on a smaller surface. I'll probably get some other Gucci bag in beige canvas later on but I prefer it to be a lot smaller than the large hobo. Besides black will go with every colour but beige wont.
 
^^You should've never gotten the medium. The beauty of the hobo [besides the hardware] is in its size, and in the medium, its bland and doesnt do anything in terms of style. There's no oomph factor. :yuk:

If I was gonna get one of the large fabric horsebit hobos, I'd get the brown one for sure, it has gold hardware. ^_^
 
Gucci Question!

I went to the Gucci store today to purchase the 145764 Hobo with the GG fabric and brown leather trim. They did not have it in the store, but she was able to find it at another store. I had questioned whether or not they ever made the 145764 with a brown trim because I had only seen it in black and brown with a mandarin trim, but she said she would find out. The only thing the colors the computer listed were black and ebony. I just looked on the Gucci website and it usually lists Ebony as the GG fabric and not the trim. Is it possible that I am getting the mandarin trim with Ebony fabric or could Ebony also be a name for the trim color? I asked her to call but she said the computer doesnt list a number or anything, that I just have to see when I get it. I gave her my credit card and all that, but id really hate to be charged $795 and wait a week for a bag that I dont even want. If this didnt even make sense let me know, ill try to rephrase it! Thanks :)

hmm good question - they normally list only the GG fabric as ebony - although I'm not sure why they say it's ebony when it's brown rather than black :blink: . I've never seen ebony listed as a trim colour - it's usually called dark brown or chocolate.
It will be interesting to see what you get - hopefully it will be the one you like :)

I got it the other day and its the mandarin trim. Im a little annoyed though, because not only was it the wrong color, it took a full week longer than they said and it came just thrown in a box. There was no special care to it or anything, plus there were a few marks on the ouside of the bag. My mother had a bag shipped from Chanel once and it was in a nice box and wrapped in tissue. Oh well. Time to find a different Gucci with brown trim. Blah.
 
What shame lilcouturemama! How annoying too about the way it was packaged - when you buy in Gucci boutique they spend ages wrapping it up properly. You think they'd try even hard when they ship something out.

I hope you do find the right one - it is great when you get the perfect bag, even if you've had to do a lot of searching for it. :flower:
 
Im looking for a brown GG canvas Gucci bag with brown leather trim. I don’t have a Gucci near me and because Gucci doesn’t always list all of their bags on the website, it’s been kind of hard to find one. I want one that is kinda like the moon hobo or a similar shape. Size doesn’t really matter as long as its not super small. Has anyone seen anything similar in their store recently? I remember seeing one last fall but I have yet to see it pop up on Ebay or speak to a sales assoc. that knew what I was talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
 
Out of curiosity how many are real (since I see lots of girls carrying it at our university): In how many color combinations does the Gucci Horsebit Canvas Bag come?

Is it possible that the beige one (the pic) also has silver hardware or is it only possible with the light gold hw as pictured? How many different leather colors can the strap have? Does a white background/black Gucci logo pattern bag exist?!
