Goyard bags / luggage

I emailed the Paris store in June and I specifically asked if they could still do a crown and from the reply I got it seemed it was still okay. I just sent them another email to ask, because if they cant do the crown, I'll have to think of another design.

I would love to have the Crown painted. In this case, I may have to mail my bag to Paris? What about Custom fees? The San Francisco store said I cannot do it so I doubt they'd be willing to mail that to Paris for me ... i really want a Crown, it's so cute! Oh and did you write in French or in English? I wonder if that makes a difference since I don't know any French.

If you get a reply back from them, can you please let me know who told you it's okay? I'd like to talk to that person next time I call them. TIA:flower:

The SA told me I could think about it and return to get it done. Did they change their policies? :angry:

The Crwon is ADORABLE! :woot: And I have seen more than 1 'Crown' design in the Paris shop!

Who is your sales contact? I need to get in touch with him/her! The person I spoke with said that they wanted to keep it exclusive, that's why they're not doing it anymore. Oh I would love the crown on my bag ...

Hi Kou,
unfortunately, I didn't get the guy's name, he was soft spoken and bearded but BOTH the SAs I spoke to in Goyard can speak fluent English and were very polite.:blush:

Maybe you can tell them that you came to the store a couple of months back and they promise to do it then so ask if they can do it specially for you? :innocent: .

The SA also told me if you bought your bag first and then get it painted a couple of months later, it should be cheaper to mail it back to you because they can indicate to Customs it's under "repairs or restoration", so when they mail the bag back to you, you pay less taxes or something...:innocent: that's why I held back then...plus I couldn't decide on the design...:huh:

The Crown is really really nice, I want it too....Perhaps you can try to e-mail Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong to see what they say? They take a really long time to paint it in HK, but if they say they can do the Crown, then you can tell Paris, you were in HK and it could be done, so Paris should do it specially for you too???!!!...:evil:

I got mine at San Francisco, so I cannot tell them I got it in France. How do I get around this? I'm sure they have records of purchases so if I say I got them in France, it's not going to fly. Hm, did I say something wrong when I asked them? Do you think they would've been more lenient about this had I spoken French to them? This is really bugging me. I'm at the point where I want to paint the bag myself, but if I do that it wouldn't be Goyard. If I mail it to France, would they have to pay Custom fees? I highly doubt Goyard would be willing to pay for my Custom fees. What should I do? The store in SF is not helping me out with this

My emails were from Franck and our exchange was in English. I still have not heard back from him but I will surely let you know.

BTW, What style did you get?

I got a Jeanne. However, I'm thinking of returning it now because I just had a conversation with one of the higher up in SF and that person was quite rude. It's a big turn-off for me when someone is rude. I feel that as a customer I should not have to endure rude treatment - I was polite throughout but I feel as though I have to "BEG" to carry on a conversation with him.
 
That's unfortunate. I'm in Los Angeles and from my emails with Franck they were okay with sending me the bag even if there was a Barney and Goyard SF.

I'm in Los Angeles too. I'll be emailing Goyard France then.
 
i had two goyard sightings today on the streets of london (other than in my mirror)- secrets out...
 
i just got my replacement bag in the mail today. i swear, I am so frustrated with Goyard SF. I feel like i got a display bag-the one i just received is a little on the dirty side and it shows more on the white. Although I'm glad that they replaced it, I'm a little dismayed that I may have gotten a a not so new one.

Who do you deal with at Goyard SF? I'm thinking of dealing directly with Goyard France from now on, if they'll let me
 
i originally bought my bag from clayton....but this time it was the store manager - rogelio i think cuz clayton's on vacation. anyway, i don't really have any issues with the SA's just the replacement bag I got. I think I'm pretty much done buying from Goyard. It is just too much trouble for what it is....

Rogelio was the one who wasn't too happy with me on the phone today:doh: . Oh well ... Maybe I'm meant to stay with Hermes, which is totally fine with me^_^

I was also talking to rogelio....I liked dealing with Clayton more. He was a lot more helpful
 
I just got an email from Franck and he said that yes I can have a crown on my croisiere 35. I'm getting red but have not decided on the color of the crown. Any suggestions?

Are you going to be mailing your bag back to France then? Did they say how long it'll take? I really want a Crown on my Jeanne ...
