Goyard bags / luggage

I'm buying my bag from the Paris store directly. I'll be there in October and he said that it wont be ready by then, but most likely by end of November. The workshop is closed til early September due to vacations.

Ok, the workshop is closed til September but is the store still open? If I email them, will there be somebody to read it?

I sent you a PM, please let me know if it's okay. TIA:flower:

Yup, I think it's only the workshop that is close, the store is open.

Ok, I think I'm just going to return my Jeanne back to San Francisco and get the Jeanne from France directly. They take Mastercard, right? I hope ...

They take Mastercard, that's how I paid for mine. It's 2006! and this is Goyard!

I asked because a lot of Hermes boutiques in the U.S. will only ship a bag to you if you pay via AMEX over the phone. If you go in person, then they take MC and Visa as well.

I'm sure they take MC, I'm paying my bag with MC too.

Perfect!!! I'll email Franck today or tomorrow. Still debating whether I should ask a friend to translate the email into French for me or not.

Interesting, probably b/c AmEx offers more theft protection than MC and Visa. Sorry, didn't think about that.

Saw the cutest, white Goyard st. louis tote w/ a randomly placed lilac skull on it, very cute.

I think that was the reason. The SA at one of the stores in Texas told me that there was an incident where a guy purchased tons of RTW over the phone with an MC. They mailed the items to him and then he returned the package and did a chargeback. When the store received the package, inside were a bunch of old clothes. Since then, they only take AMEX over the phone if customer wants to pay by credit card. The only exception is if they've previously done business with the customer and know that the customer won't screw them over.

I got my Jeanne MM today. I was quite impressed with the quality, actually. However, since I want to buy the Jeanne from France (if they would do the painting of the Crown for me), I'm going to have to return this Jeanne to the store. Well, that's when I noticed on the receipt that you can only return for exchange or store credit - I wish the sales had told me that. Do you guys have any recommendation on what to exchange for? Would the St. Martin be a good option? What about the Fidgi?

Hey Kou, the SF store sounds quite bad! I'm glad you decided to do it with the Paris store.

I personally like the Croisere.

I emailed Paris store last night and attentioned the mail to Franck. I got a receipt this morning showing that they have READ my email but I'm still waiting for a reply. I don't know what I should do should they not reply ... I want that crown painted sooooo badly~~

I'm going to contact the SF store today and tell them I want to exchange the bag for something else. I'm not sure what I should get to fill up the $2000 worth of stuff.

Kou couldn't you send your Jeanne to Paris for the customizing/crown rather than returning it to the SF store?

I don't want to run the risk of their not doing the painting of Crown for me so I figure it's better if I try to buy from them directly. Also, I don't want to worry about any Custom issues if I send the bag to Paris.:flower:
