Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows *Warning - Thread WILL Contain Spoilers*

I didn't feel enough information was given about Draco's future life  If the predictability continued even with his life, we can probably safely assume he married Pansy... but...
I'm not sure he married Pansy. If he'd married her, JKR would have mentioned it in the epilogue... or not?
I wanna know more about Draco's life too.

I just realized how much I hate Ginny Weasley and Harry's dad. Ginny, because she had no substance. And Harry's dad, because he was an a$$hole to Snape.
Yeah but it was less obvious than making Harry's dad a total angel...I liked the epilogue as it tied things up...but I was kinda disapointed at the last sentence :p.
I was also pleased that Snape didn't actually murder Dumbledore... All in all it's probably the book I've enjoyed most since 'Prisoner of Azkaban'.

Had to add-I was disapointed that Lupin's death wasn't go into...I thought he was a good character and more could of been made of that.

I finished the book, finally, at three o'clock this morning (I am a bit of a slow reader compared to most Potterheads, but I didn't get the book until Tuesday!).

Overall, I found it a little disappointing, it didn't have the same magical feeling that the past books had. It was as though it was trying to be terribly austure and dark, but for children.

She makes Ginny sound so...unambitious. I wish ginny had a better job than a CASHIER.

Filch has got to be 200 something.

Goyle as Potions master? WHAT?!

Where's Percy and Draco and everyone else?

Mrs. Weasley is a stay at home, and in the seventh book, we find out that she's one hell of a witch...I suppose I just figured it wouldn't be unlike her to follow in her mothers footsteps.

Of course, who knows? Ginny is probably an auror too or something.

Perhaps I was alone, but I never saw her as some amazing, extrodinary character when it came to magical ability.

I never thought of her as an extraordinary character, at all. She could have been left out of the book and I would have never even known.

I think the low part for me was the final battle. I was expecting Harry to hand Voldemort's *** over to him.

What does he do?

He decides to talk him to death.

God, that battle was so boring! I was expecting full-on action, and got that dumb stuff. Just another thing to add on my list on why I didn't like this book.

^ I liked the battle! I just thought it was rushed though, I really wish that book was split into two (basically so I'd have one more to look forward too)

 I totally agree about Ginny..Cho was a much more interesting character

I was really hoping for like a really big secret, though! Like Snape was actually Harry's father!

Even better! But I don't know who in their right mind would go with Voldemort. I'm sure you all would agree with me when I say he is not the cutest....:innocent::sick:

^ He was attractive once...but still, I think Bellatrix would do ANYTHING to be with him at his most repulsive state

 When did he stop being handsome? After he tried to kill Harry or when he started doing all the horcruxes?

I probably would have tapped the Christian Coulson Voldemort. :innocent:

Did anyone else squeal when they read this part of the book-

There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione's arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet

- DH, pg. 625 [US edition]

I suppose she meant it as a plot device to push Ron to abandon them but it smacked rather too much of LOTR with Frodo & Sam having to wear the One Ring around their necks and it's negative effects on them.
When you mentioned LOTR, I thought of a chart my friend sent me over e-mail. It's similarities between Harry Potter and LOTR. I never knew there was so many things in common. I don't have the original source, though, because it was retrieved from an e-mail.
