We're not talking about those dirty hipsters' holes anymore, but about exquisite details that are very very neat... No more "faux vintage ripped" effect, but clean looking holes/distressing... Looks like it's about to make it very big!

yeah it's much nicer than the rippedeffect
the lagerfeld ones look good

^ agreed, it can look awesome when done in a minimalist way.

i love that Lutz look. overall the detail, works for me in the Lagerfield Gallery, but not so much in the Victor & Rolf, those are more like keyholes anyway. I prefer the hole as a cutout which has variations in the shape rather than the perfect rigid circle opening.

its a very simple and direct approach

lovely. i happen to like them in thick fabrics only..and certain colours as well but it's a cute detail still. ^_^

I dunno,I quite like the ripped, distressed, heirloom affect-it can have a certain elegance and grace about it if done on the proper pieces.

But the whole ripped jeans & t'shirt's thing, personally I don't think that was ever really part of it,that distressed heirloom style. Everybody's jeans get worn out...and people were already wearing them as such before it become a big deal...before,it was grunge...now,it's so-called vintage. Bah. People put gimmicks on anything these days.

i dunno...
i'm thinking that this is not really a trend......

:ermm:...

I love holes. and they are so easy to make yourself..

I adore that victor and rolf black dress with the holes.... so cute... but i'm not sure if its going to be an easy trend to pull off... a bit like this seasons volume alot of thought is going to need to be put in
