putting it out there, we're the only species that drink other species' milk.

I don't really drink milk, I was just raised that way. Milk, blech. Not thirst quenching for me at all. I got my hands on a giant tube of Benoxyl 4. It's prescription level in the US, and is basically clearasil with Benzoyl Peroxide in it. I only use it like, once a week, it is great.

The Danish board of health no longer recommends drinking milk every day, maybe because the dairy producing folks stopped paying them, who knows.

:D:P probably true.

I like rice "milk" - which isn't milk... I love the taste of real milk, but I never drink it... it makes me feel so bloated and ugh. :ninja:
There are plenty or things that are fantastic substitutes for milk... organic soy milk or almond milk for example.

Back to the topic though:

I feel like eating many blueberries really makes my skin glow. Also drinking beer helps me. I am quite skinny and excercise alot, it really gives me some strength back afterwards. I think my hair looks shinier as well. I don't know if it works for everybody though :-)

I love vanilla soy milk! I went through a period of only consuming soy milk and trying to cut down on my dairy intake, somehow I fell off the wagon.
The only thing I've found to improve my skin is being really basic with my skincare routine, just washing my face and then moisturising. I used to really fuss over my skin but recently I haven't really had the time to care that much and my skin looks so much better!

Alkohol-free beer is one of the best drinks when it comes to skin and hair benefits. Beer yeast is contains very large amounts of minerals and B-vitamins which are essential for great skin and hair.

I generally try to avoid soy- not sure if it helps my skin or what, but my mom has developed a soy intolerance over the years being vegetarian. I would like to not turn in to my mom, so I avoid soy and prefer Almond milk ( I think it's better in coffee too). My mom has a whole host of whack food allergies.

Isn't it easier to just eat the Brewer's yeast (nutritional yeast) powder or tablets? Is what I do, and it sure has a nice effect on how hard and shiny my nails get, I can't honestly say I see any definite skin improvements though, but nothing ever gets worse and I'd been taking them on/off for 10+ years now. Great stuff, just the taste is a bit of an acquired one. Look for one that has been fortified with vit B12 and de-bittered, those are easer to swallow.
Most beers are kinda vague about the amount of goodies in there and it's generally a quite processed beverage and heavily spiked with 'additives' these days. If you get your hands on homemade beer (has alcohol in it though) then commercial brands make you puke afterwards, there is like 50'000 light year difference in taste. Store bought beer = projectile vomit inducing piss water (JMO).:ninja: Nowadays I just stare incredulously at people who drink that stuff en masse, those poor souls don't know any better.:shifty:

Anyhow, nutritional data on beer: http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/beverages/3827/2

And on the yeast: http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/custom/1323569/2

I love brewers yeast! I like to sprinkle it on popcorn or on brown rice.

Of course you can but not everybody likes to live off powders and tablets. And of course you'll miss out of getting some extra liquid that way.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Meiji Amino Collagen..

A girl from work reccomended I tone with apple cider vinegar to clear up pimples, but it hurts my eyes and nose a bit. Someone suggested I only use it away from my eyes, and anyway, my pimple is on my cheek.
BTW, changing to soy from dairy has worked wonders for me! I went throught a period of eating yoghurt 3x daily and my skin broke out so badly! Now I use soy milk and I limit dairy to 1x daily and I rarely break out.

i would highly recommend a DIY yogurt mask!

its amazing an has hydrated my face and makes it glow! and natural too and no clog up.
sometimes when my face is really dry i put a tiny bit of olive oil in the mix or a little bit of honey.

it helps calm down redness
and as a part of diet it helps clean bacteria in your body
and it does the same for your face
and it has zinc so its really good

i swear by it! i also put some yogurt on the ends of my hair because i was it everyday and it dries out my hair. don't put it on your roots its a pain to wash out and your hair will look greasy. just make sure its plain yogurt..either greek organic or plain just not flavored!

wash it out when it hardens its about 15-20 minutes

Thank you. I find it so weird that people go to McDonalds and then take Vitamin and Omega pills... Just live a healthy life, EAT healthy and you're FINE. Strange world we live in......

^ Well, I find it even weirder when people think beer (whichever kind) is somehow healthier than yeast it's made with. It's food, no more horrible than the bacteria cultures yogurt or kefir are made of, certainly less processed than beer, especially non- or low-alcoholic which additionally undergo filtering, reverse osmosis and reconstitution.
Truly, a strange world. :innocent:

i would never prefer pills and supplements over food, when you eat a well-balanced diet your body gets everything it needs
