Interview March 2010 : Lara Stone by Mert & Marcus

I wonder how well Lara is known outside of fashion circles, I feel she is being positioned as the next BIG thing and yet I am uncertain of whether or not this is working. I've never heard anyone who isn't majorly into fashion mention her name, not that it is a detriment of course but I do wonder.

^^ I think she'll be... some of my friends were wondering who she was after they saw the pictures of her in some gossip magazine and ask me about her... i was surprised but happy! :)

OMMGGoddness does she ever not deliver...................no!
i wished the story went on forever, this was mesmerizing

I swear if I don't get this issue I am going to be so pissed! Lara looks amazing.

Lara looks amazing, and the cover is gorgeous.
Great interview, I just love her personality sm.
She has pretty much covered all the big magazines. On her way to become an icon.

the cover looks too familiar for my liking but the editorial is gorgeous.

I love lara! And I love that Interview finally put someone fresh (to non-fashion people) and exciting on their cover. I'm proud of them.

I like it! The only thing again is there's too much nudity in her edito...
But feels lile i've already saw a picture from an editorial that looks like that cover... don't remember where!?!

Though the pictures are not that similar the cover reminds me of this photo gemma ward took for vogue paris a couple of years ago.

Because she's engaged to David Walliams she's in the UK papers/tabs now. She's been in them quite a lot recently so people outside of fashion are getting to know her. Nothing negative so far which is good cause she seems really nice.

The shot itself is great, of course, but I have an impression that I've already seen it so many times before.

Oh that's good... I mean Lara... common stuff... buy hey that's my first month of subscription so I am kind of happy... God I don't make sense;-)))

This is epic....I'm sensing that this issue will be as major as September 2008. I expected a model like Lara to be on a solo cover of Vogue US sooner than Interview. And for a March issue, kudos to them. The editorial is very reminscent of M&Ms many collaborations with Natalia in W magazine circa 2006, but the cover is so striking just by itself. This magazine fails to ever disappoint. Sometimes I think I could just cut off my ear for Fabien Baron

Love her interview... and of course the photos.

Oh, to be David Walliams.

Agreed. Most of the people I know that aren't into fashion don't even know who Kate Moss is, and they're only familiar with the faces of girls like Miranda Kerr and Selita Ebanks. Gisele is the only top model I can think of that is legitimately famous (to Generation Y) for just being a model. Part of me thinks that the next supermodel- if there will ever be another supermodel- will have a look both conventionally attractive and yet versatile enough for editorial work. That said, we've had plenty of those models around in the 00's (Isabeli Fontana, Natalia Vodianova), so maybe it will take someone a little, er, quirkier looking to hit it big. And while her body may be the type you find under fourteen year old boys' beds, no one could ever accuse Lara Stone of having a conventionally beautiful face. :innocent:

lara looks vulgar. i don't like this editorial at all.
but i liked her interview, she's so lovely!

One thing I dont get about Interview is why do they publish and sell the issue if they're going to put almost the entire issue online
