thesiren, how do you think the latest amethyst compares with T&D's first batch of Magenta? I can't tell the difference between the two, honestly and they kinda look the same to me.


Ladies, is anyone here waiting for Argent City in RH? I've emailed T&D to check what they have left from the Argent run of bags. Currently, I have a Magenta First, a Black City with GGH, a Vert D'eau Twiggy, a Black Cherry Twiggy and a Amethyst City with GSH. Should I go for Argent City with RH OR Argent City with GSH OR Argent Twiggy?

they really are almost the same. if i knew the bags were so close to '05 magenta, i probably would have bought one, but the auth amethyst i've seen irl have had a slightly more purple undertone that made it obvious they weren't '05 magenta (though far more saturated/bright than that hideous LE re-release of magenta). from just the swatch, it looked the color was the same, but now the finished bags look more magenta than amethyst. this really makes no difference, as a lot of the bags i've seen online also read as magenta '05 while others look different (i.e. lauren conrad's covered HW amethyst city which is bonafied purple if you ask me). the different batches of leather make take the dye differently.

it was so hard to capture the color of the first batch of magentas in a photo (mine never looked anywhere near as saturated/bright in pics as it does irl), and from what i'm seeing in the amethyst pictures, they're almost identical in the event the pics are reading true to the color irl.

I literally JUST picked up my Amethyst twiggy from the post office and I'm happy to report it is gorgeous!!!! I absolutely love the color. I was actually stunned when I peeled off the packaging. The color is sooooo VIBRANT.

I'm so happy I ordered a twiggy. I think this is my new favorite style. It is smaller than a city, yet bigger than the first. I was worried I would regret changing my order from a GSH city to a twiggy, but now I'm sooooo glad I did. When you order a GSH bag, you compromise on the tassles--- and in my opinion, the tassles are what make the bag so flirty and unique

LOVE IT!! Can't wait to get my anthracite bag

That sounds great. Can you tell me if when you do stuff the bag if the clasp remains sturdy or comes open really easily?

I have a red one from Jacky. The clasp remains sturdy when I stuff the bag, which holds my wallet, cell phone, keys nicely.

i like carrying bags in the crook of my arm, but i wouldn't have minded a strap swinging around as i did that.

cloudy: The Chanel clutch did look like two diff bags. I wouldn't have wanted to keep it either!! The grained side is gorgeous though!!

silv: I'm thinking that the anthra aren't quite ready to ship out. I ordered an anthra and an amethyst and all the girls who didn't order anthra are getting their bags or at least tracking #s.

And I've been meaning to tell you that I didn't think it was your VD Work on ioffer...I know you love your bags and would probably have buyers here interested before you'd even need to put it on ioffer (not that you're selling them, but if you were).

my bags arrived today.... auspost must be very busy right now .... here are some pics of my GSH Argent part time & GSH New Grey Work, both bags are absolutely fantastic and I couldn't be happier, love them!
I also got Mogano Work & Rubbise clutch, they were from the sale batch on iOffer, both perfect and gorgeous, but I won't bore you with pics since they are old news
I probably won't be able to sleep tonight, I'm so excited

pixiestar regarding the picture of the new grey, is it the original grey, the new old grey, the new new grey, anthra grey?? oh goodness it's not easy keeping track of all these greys.
