For anyone who has a Chanel bag (or any type of brand) that has straps that are just a chain (not a woven chain)....
do you find it annoying to carry??

I just "spoke" with T&D and they have black leather (that's their basic color right? so duh) and they said they can make Men's day in black with either silver or black hardware if we get 5 gals to sign up.

basically think of the men's day as a smaller bag than the courier but with a longer strap so u can use messenger style and it's absolutely GORGEOUS, and GREAT for travelling or running errands or just using as an everyday bag.

I'm not a black bag person but I did try this one in some sort of black/anthracite auth and it was absolutely GORGEOUS, subtle chic.

mm07: your left magenta looks perfect, such a nice color, I'm also a pink-girl

so far no news on catty's wilshires, I'm mailing her again, possibly she overlooked it :)

on another note, I would love to place an order with jacky, are there other girls from Europe who would like to join to get to 5 items?

shoptfs: ur magenta day sure is gorgeous...dont u just love it...i got mine, then sold it, then i got it back...dont think i will ever let it go again.
and, ur sneaker is REALLY cute. i want 1 in MC

another reason i love T&D bags.....my husband doesn't realize they are "designer" or even "fake designer"

he doesn't even notice them!

he is just happy that i am not shopping at Louis Vuitton (although I never bought more than 1 bag every 1-2 years) he hated them, he wouldn't let me carry them to his work!!! he said they were elitist, and didn't want his employees thinking i would spend that kind of money on things (honestly i think he has a point)

so i am the proud owner of 3 T&D bags, 2 bought directly from T&d and one from great person who sold me her black GGH

i am flying under the radar!

he thinks i am being more "label sensitive" because of the economy!!!! i guess in a way i have, i refuse to spend anymore money at vuitton....i think their prices and recent lines have been insulting to old timers like me

socaligurl80, i have the mens day in black and it is indeed awesome. i wish T+D would make it in other colors.

i agree that LV prices are outrageous. i do not know why the sofia coppola for LV bags are 4,000. has anyone made a rep of these bags?

i think balenciaga (real) is quite reasonable for a real designer bag- full of leather; they are around 900-1500 (RH) and hold resell value A LOT. thinking that way, im very happy with what i get from T&D.
LV is crazy 1200 for a canvas bag? with little touch of leather?
no offense to LV's lover <hugs>

jacky made a version of the monogram one, but i'm holding out for the black leather or navy suede version...

what is black hardware?
i think the men's day only came in RH (brass)...

Not exactly true. I authenticate the brand and can always tell.

Well what do you look for in terms of authentication? I'm just curious as to what Chanel can possibly do that cannot be copied by a skilled vendor. What is this dead giveaway that enables you to always be able to tell.

The hologram sticker, the authenticity card, the quality of the leather, the stitching, the hardware, the engraving, the list goes on. Replica makers have been copying Chanel since its inception; they've never gotten it 100%, and they still haven't.

True, even t&d's bags -- which are very very very good reps -- don't have everything 100%. There are usually small details or discrepancies that give bags away.

Okay well that makes sense I guess, but most people will never get close enough to your bag to inspect the engraving and even people that carry Chanel like my mom wouldn't necessarily know the differences in stitching technique. The hardware could be a dead giveaway to the casual observer if its wrong, the leather well again I'm new to rep bags always only bought authentic but I wouldn't buy a bag if the leather was obviously off from the original. The authenticity cards imo again is another non issue because no one would be tasteless enough to ask to inspect them so....
After spending years and untold thousands of dollars on authentic bags I think I will go the rep route from now on - as long as its a quality rep. The way I see it is if I'm getting a bag that is virtually indistinguishable from the original for a 10th of the price then that's what I'm going to do. If a rep vendor can produce a near identical bag in terms of design and quality and then only charge me a 10th of the price of the original while still making a profit, then that can only mean one thing - I'm getting ripped off by the original designer. Sorry for the rant, but when I think about all the money I have spent, easily tens of thousands on designer items and to think they can be reproduced very easily at a fraction of the cost, I get so angry at myself. Many people myself included justify these insanely priced bags as investments - but they are not investments! That's the truth. Investments are meant to increase in value - your bag never will and it doesn't matter whether its a Hermes or Miu Miu, the best you can ever hope for is to break even - and that's if you're lucky!

I'm really liking Jacky's Chanel XL Jumbo, I know someone mentioned that it was terrible but if that's the final product it looks very authentic to me, Unfortunately I do not like the silver color or the gold hardware. Does anyone know if Jacky is making this bag in black. Also does the auth only come in gold hardware? One last question that I'm not sure about the lock on this bag does Jacky have the right size lock? The lock somehow seems a little "skinny" to me. But judging the bag as a whole if I didn't know better I would think it was authentic.

One last thing, does anyone know if Jacky has fixed the lock issue on the Chanel 2133. I really like the gray one but only if the lock is correct.

you mean the silver one the his front page? it should be the new MAXI, not XL jumbo. and i do believe it is his authentic, while he's making the rep out of it.
