Well...but they are not wearing fakes though. These are real bags but the bags seem somehow...imperfect.

I know for a fact that LC doesn't carry fakes. I guarantee that her bag is auth. littlecoco made a great point, the bags don't perfectly align when being carried nor would they look symmetric from every angle.

Btw, Kim K is a goddess. I love her pics, because everything from her hair/makeup to her bags/shoes are so glam!!

I think they belong in THIS thread because they're NOT fake and we're comparing them to our reps. Isn't that appropriate for this thread?

quality control issues regarding authentic chanels should be posted in that thread...
i think it's safe to say that not all authentics are perfect in terms of details in this day and age...
some of us have posted experiences we've had with authentic bags breaking, hanging threads, mismatched leather, etc.
i've seen authentic chanels where the pattern doesn't match as well as fakes...
there were other details on the fakes that gave them away...

and another thread on TFS is not a valid image credit...
if you get an image from another thread, you must copy the source that's listed here if you are going to repost...

This is interesting...So how would someone be able to identify a fake from an auth when you are carrying it if the bags don't always look symmetric. Assuming all of the hardware and the leather is correct , how would anyone really know. This is my biggest area of concern, because it seems that thats the first thing people check for. I mean looking at these pics and pics of other auths compared to some reps I've seen I really can't see any real difference that would be obvious to most people (i.e. those that don't work with these bags everyday etc.) I know my mom owns some Chanel bags from years ago but I'm quite sure she wouldn't be able to distinguish a quality rep on the street from an auth. The only thing that would probably tip her off is the person carrying it. Whether casual or dressy, is the rest of their attire consistent in terms of cost/quality (i.e. who wears a Chanel bag and payless shoes). Something like that might make her suspicious - but other than that this woman who owns Chanel wouldn't necessarily be able to tell. Makes me wonder if this is typical of most people.

just so you know, most "good chanel" that people in this thread buy, cant be determined to be a fake just from just looking at it. some experts (live-eat w chanel) even need to look at thhe serial and the inside stamp to tell.

i dont think you can judge a person by the things she wears or carries, I for one will carry my real chanel cambon with some flip flops i got from target and i know a lot of people too who combine high end goods with cheap stuff...just my 2 cents...

Sorry - I posted before I saw this. If this is not the appropriate place for this discuss this topic would it be possible for us to have a rep vs real topic posted somewhere here? I looked at the is this fake thread but that's not exactly what I'm referring to. Basically a thread of photos of reps vs reals that way we can have a visual comparison for the details of the bags etc.

i've taken fakes into places where they sell the authentic and they don't know...
unless it's something glaringly obvious (like the bales/hardware on a balenciaga, plasticky looking leather), not many people are going to be able to tell the difference...
most of us just want something good enough to fool most people...

and in today's climate, i wouldn't be surprised if you see chanel and payless together, or balenciaga and target together...
everyone is doing the high/low mix...there are certain things you are willing to pay alot for (because they will last) and other things you aren't...
look at olivia palermo, she wears balmain k/o from bakers with a judith leiber clutch, or lauren, who wears stuff from h&m with her chanels...

onlythebest4me, we do post comparison pics here, but you weren't comparing the bag to anything, just pointing out details on the authentics...

members have posted great pics of balenciagas, chanels, ysl, and givenchy bags with the authentics and critiqued them...

I agree with this, in fact if it were me I wouldn't be able to tell at all. It was my mother that I was referring to when I said she may be swayed in her judgement by what a person is wearing because she comes from a different generation. Most of the people (in my experience) that tend to mix high and low tend to be younger.

I agree that most of the Chanel bought here (esp Jacky's) is good enough to pass unless closely inspected. And sadly, many make the judgement based on the person and not the bag (someone in expensive clothing getting out of a BMW could carry a bad fake and fool people while someone in casual clothes carrying an auth could get snubbed as a fake carrier).

shoptfs and baby_yorkie: ITA! I see lots of celebs mix high end with bargain brands! I know Kourtney Kardashian is "queen of Forever 21" but will wear it w/a Chanel or LV bag. I also know tons of celebs love H&M and Zara.
