For all you T&D lovers, which lovingmybags products would you recommend? I want one that will make my bag smell good XD and wasn't sure which one would be the best. I also would prefer to keep the leather matte.

i use the luxury leather cleanser plus to get rid of the shine and pro-treatment to protect it. luxury silk serum is good too.

i should seriously buy them from LMB instead of getting them from Le'Shine ... SG$40 for a bottle of pro-treatment is about US$28

Thanks. Earlier everyone on this thread who has Jacky's vintage xl claimed that it was the closest to the authentic that you could find, but now you say there is a "sun" in the hardware?! If that's so, then maybe rep buying is not for me. I mean, that is a dead giveaway to inauthenticity. Also, Jacky's Dark Navy Chanel Jumbo looks spot on, as well as, the A-Wang bags.

What is my best bet in the search for holy grail replicas? What are the most-accurately replicated brands? I know that CHANEL has a lot of particular detailing that must be spot on to pass.

I understand you want every detail to be perfect (I am very much the same way with my reps-verrry AR when it comes to the look, quality and feel of things), but I think if you are expecting a rep to be as 'perfect' as the auth then rep buying is maybe not for you.

The preferred vendors discussed in this forum do a great job of replicating the look, feel, weight, zips, leather, hardware etc of the original but there is always going to be some detail that isn't correct (HW too yellow, too light, wrong shape, not metal, wrong zipper, wrong serial number, wrong font, too shiny, too matte, not lined up perfect, stitching wrong color, etc). That is what makes a rep a rep and not an auth bag.

Sometimes these vendors get it spot on, but sometimes they don't-("close but no cigar" colors on balenciagas, bal bags that were cut too short, measurements wrong on the python paraty, the 'sun' symbol on jacky's vintage XL, great leather and HW on the outside but the wrong color lining, LV trim that isn't leather-you get the idea). Some of us don't buy because of it, but it doesn't matter to others and they buy because they like the bag and it does not make a difference one way or the other. It's something they can live with.

If you can live with these differences, that's great-that is what most of us do here-but please remember that there is always going to be 'something off' on every rep, and it sounds like that might drive you a little nuts, KWIM?

Well said ... I have yet to see a rep that is absolutely perfect! Trust me, I buy both reps and authentics and there is always something wrong or off with any replica bag.

sanitized fashion- i did buy the coco duffel off catty, and it was so heavy for me. if you are concerned with weight then i would pass on this bag, especially since you have other studded black bags. it is so heavy without anything in it and there is no shoulder strap. i found myself literally putting the bag down if i ever went out with it and stood somewhere for awhile!

Did your leather on your coco look anything like Rodarte's brenda? And by heavy, how heavy are we talking?

That's the problem-there isn't a holy grail perfect rep! They all have some little inaccuracy that the average person wouldn't know about, but that someone who is an owner or collector would know in an instant....

Also, sometimes jacky will post a pic of his product but it's the auth he posts-if it looks too perfect, it's probably the auth. You need to ask him specifically if the pic is the original or of the rep! That just leads to the confusion as to how good the 'rep' is...

I have my HG rep, my black fendi spy from a few years ago. The bag has made it to the Fendi boutiques in Las Vegas, no problem. The bag has made it to Saks Fendi boutique, no problem. Actually, my rep leather is nicer than that in the boutique. That's from the outside. But if you look inside my bag a fendi collector/owner of spy will know it's not auth because of the color and texture of the lining-it's close, really close, but 'off'. That's the nature of the beast, so to speak. But I am not looking to sell the bag as auth or otherwise, so to me it's no problem.

sanitizedfashion- the leather looks close to the Rodarte's diego. someone else weighed the coco and it's 3lbs without anything in it.

king6208- i haven't had any problems with the smell of my NBF bags just use them regularly and you won't even notice it. so worth it

king6208, after conditioning my NBF bags with Apple Care Leather Conditioner, I leave them out to air dry. That helps to remove the icky plastic smell.

Thanks for posting the FC pics xooey Do you think you will use it loads? I do sooo love it!

In all honesty, I foresee myself using the FC only for dinner dates or when I am out running short errands. Definitely not when I am out shopping because I like to leave my hands free to try on shoes, clothes, etc.

I will alternate between the Magenta First and the FC. As it is, I only use the First twice or thrice a month, max. Hence, I don't think I'll wear out the FC anytime soon.

I know this has been discussed, but other than DM, who makes the best Hermes Birkin reps, ones with proper markings?

I remember someone comparing OMAS's with Jacky's and saying that there wasn't that big of a difference, especially given the $300 price difference.

My experience with omas was horrible! I was charged $1200 for a birkin, only to find out later that some girls were getting them for $700. The leather on the bag that I got was amazing but the stamp was smudged and they refused to restamp it or exchange the bag.The stamp was a complete give away! Since I paid wire transfer, I was out of luck. I had to sell my bag on ioffer and I lost 400 on it! There leather is very good, but their customer service is disgusting. How much are jackys birkins?
