What is my best bet in the search for holy grail replicas? What are the most-accurately replicated brands? I know that CHANEL has a lot of particular detailing that must be spot on to pass.

there are no HG fake bags. they're fake!

chanel is especially the case. trust me, i have been searching for perfect chanels forever. even if my bank account says yes to the price, i have a brain which says NO to a 3K bag. chanel simply costs TOO MUCH. i have seen ONE single practically flawless classic chanel bag and that's the white caviar that bbs owns. it is a perfect bag in pictures, imho. there are past season chanel bags that have been dead on (the modern chain collection with resin chain straps [which had horrible leather, but so did the auth] and the washed leather with metal straps) as well as the portobellos. all of the most popular bags (flaps, jumbo flaps) are visibly flawed if you are familiar with chanel.

bags i've seen that are perfect and by this i mean you could hold it next to the auth and not find differences from the outside (and inside in some cases) all from jacky unless mentioned:
- timeless clutch
- portobello
- modern chain totes
- lv speedy 35
- lv horizontal batignolles
- lv epi collection
- bal envelope clutches (t&d)
- bal flat clutches (t&d)

other bal styles have varied, though i think the step and brief are spot on. i carry nearly all of my bags into high end stores because that's where i shop and i've never had anyone attack me or visibly size me up. even auth bags get stared at as people desperately try to decipher whether they're real or not. you just have to roll with it.

kikidee- i definitely agree that auth 05 bals have that same leather as ours.. mine looks exactly like yours DM! great pic i really like the thick veiny leather of the new black batch though and i would prefer my black city (my most used & loved bag) to have this type of leather. i know for sure i'll get the most use out of it... i think my black city is about to fall apart.. i've been using it nonstop for 2 years.. the handles will tear any second now!

i feel like i just convinced myself to get a new black city. hahaha

sanitizedfashion: It wasn't meant as an accusation. I just want you to be aware that sometimes we're wary of new members who are solely fixated on (or only post about) if a bag can pass for auth. As I stated, it raises a red flag. I'm not saying you're going to rip people off, but BECAUSE people could potentially use this forum and our knowledge for that purpose, we're careful. I'm sorry I offended you! I fully understand your quest for as flawless a rep as possible, but flawless reps are impossible. So, I think you should either get's Jacky's Chanel (small flaws and all) or NOT buy rep Chanel. Jacky's Flaps are REALLY good. The vast majority of people would not know it was fake. It's $115...it's worth the risk IMO. Get it and see what you think!

I don't think any rep chanel classic flaps will pass as authentic, sun logo or not. But that's just me... I don't think you would be able to fool anyone who has ever seen a real chanel flap up close, never mind the details the structure is always wrong it would be so apparently fake from across the street. Although if you really want a chanel rep definitely definitely buy the timeless clutch. I can't tell the caviar leather apart from my auth caviar flap.

well I think J's metallic reissue is very close to auth. here's comparison pics between authentic (pic from ebay) and mine. there's just minor and slight differences that i noticed, but it's inside flap. yes the leather on auth is more distressed, but i dont think people could notice it's fake from across the street..

I dont understand t&d, I want to buy a black envelope clutch and a red one and they emailed me back saying they have the pattern for it but cant make it bc 5 girls have to want it. I think if they just posted a listing for a black envelope clutch on ioffer, more than 5 girls would want it being that this batch of black leather is amazing.

And then they're so shocked when a fake has been outed on their forum and sure enough, it's a bag that they themselves have oohed and ahhhed over! The truth is, some reps are just THAT good and you wouldn't be able to tell unless you actually handled the bag and were able to inspect it. Have you every seen one of Jacky's Chanel Flaps IRL? Pics aren't the best way to judge as they can be deceiving (just as some people have called auth bags fake from pics but they were in fact, auth). I think that Chanel seems to be the hardest brand to replicate well, but there are certanly some that aren't as easy to spot as you may think.

thesiren: I forgot to say that ITA that auth bags get stared at questioningly as well. I've had people ask "Is that real?" about my auth LV bags as much as they ask about any other bag I carry. Personally, I think it's SO rude that people even ask. A true lady wouldn't ask. But anyway, it's true, regardless of a bag's status, it'll get stared at and people will guess and be wrong a lot, either way.

Did anyone watch "The City" last night? Olivia Palermo works for Elle magazine and had an assignment to get fakes from the streets of NYC. They were doing a piece on how "low quality" fakes are and how people *think* they're getting something like the real thing at a low cost but really they're not. She bought a Chanel Flap and some LV Speedys from a guy on the street. Her boss (the Editor? I don't remember his title) picked up the Azur Speedy and said "This one is good! I wouldn't be able to tell with this one!" It made me laugh b/c that's exactly how most people who are against reps are. They think of horridly ugly, cheap fakes and judge all replicas by these bags. Then they see a really good rep and assume it's auth b/c (they think) reps are hideous pieces of plastic!! It actually really helps our cause though!! The bags we buy are incredible and no one who thinks reps are all junk from Canal St would spot our bags as rep!!

The thing is though, had I seen pics of an rh Day from T&D on the PF, just a couple of shots, of nice leather, and no real up close shots of the hardware, I would just assume it's real. But seeing it in person I would know immediately it's a fake. The leather may look amazing in a pic, but the feel is not as luxurious as the real thing. There are details that are easy to spot in real life that are not easily seen in a pic.

They already have the leather and the pattern for the envelope clutch, why wont they just list it on ioffer.
