I agree with baby_yorkie, this is totally unacceptable. Cannot believe this has happened to you shopaholic48

I think the grainy/pebbled leather is the first season bow..the second season is smooth leather, and now it's glazed leather..the stitching color on J's pics is correct like in auth, but none who bought the bag seem to have it right. and i remember someone got her bow with sewn strap while J's pics are not sewn. so that's what I thought...

You're right about the leather...

I guess the girl who got the sewn strap just got a flawed bag because I ordered two bags at the same time, so it was from the same batch of bags, and mine had a separate strap.

What's wrong with the stitching, should it be lighter or darker? I haven't even noticed, thanks for pointing it out!

Here is the pics, I actually tried screwing them back together, but it felt like the screw is too short :(

I am worried about using hammer and superglue. If it fails, I dont know if the boys will replace it, you know?

I dont mind actually paying a shoe repair shop to do the work, but I cant possibly tell them to 'put super glue and hammer on this $1000 balenciaga bag' can I?

Thanks for the advice ladies!!! :flower::flower::flower:

thesiren, baby_yorkie and malena,

Thanks for the advice, but I would rather pay a shoe repair shop if its possible, rather than paying to send the bag back to China, and then having to argue with the boys :( does it look like I can repair it here?

mm07,

does it look like what happened to your city RH? If its the same, can you teach me how you repaired yours? thanks!!!

what will i do without u ladies :flower::flower::flower::flower:

Shopaholic did you tell T&D about the problem? Even if you do decide to get it fixed yourself you should still tell them and say you're willing to fix it yourself but that you'd like a big discount on your next order:flower:

pinkdolphin, yeah I told them and they told me to
"Get some super glue put it in the hole of the stud and then hammer the screw into the stud. That will do it."

Will definitely ask for the discount! :)

shopaholic48, I had the same problem with a first. I told T&D and asked them to send me a new screw. They actually send me two, and it solved the problem.

xjessiex, I did not actually lose the screw and stud. Both pieces were inside the packaging, so they don't have to send me a new screw. Anyway, I tried hammering, but it doesnt work!!! the pieces of leather between the screw and the stud seem to be too thick :(:(

how did you attach yours back xjessiex?

Maybe your best bet would be to take it to a shoe repairer's, I guess they will know what to do better than us amateurs.

is no one here getting Praline with GSH??? I'm dying to get it in GSH. Any takers? They need more orders...

anyone saw the chocolate brenda on jacky's site? it has the older rectangular zips instead of the triangular zips.

shopaholic48: I am terribly sorry about your Argent Day Bag.
Take it to a shoemaker to see if they can fix it. I think that
they should be able to fix it. Best of luck to you. By the way
the leather on your bag is divine.

I would take it to a shoe repair and let them have a look. I am pretty confident that if you took it to the guy I go to here in Vancouver, you'd never know there was a thing wrong. I've had him re-heel boots and shoes numerous times and fix leather straps, etc. on sandals. Nothing I've had done there ever cost over $20 so I'd hope it would be the same for you :D
I'll give you a bit of karma :)

I wanted a Twiggy in Framboise, but got this reply from T&D:

Hi Kat,
Sorry we’re offering the Framboise Twiggy.
How about a Classic City RH $212.00 though.
We’d love you to have a Praline City GGH.
We’d happily allocate leather for you if you want them and take advice when a payment is good for you on it.:)
Keep us posed.:)
Have a wonderful week:)
T&D

Most ambiguous first sentence ever?! But from the 'sorry' I guess it means they're not doing it...? Anyway, I went for a Framboise First. Have one in EB and it's a perfect size for me

Could someone please PM me Jacky's new site? I want that Union Jack Chanel, I've decided! TIA

I'm pretty sure a shoe repairers would have no problem fixing that. Think they are able to use a machine to reattach it which is able to go through double layers of leather? Its lucky you had the screw though! Offers you piece of mind too as you don't want it falling apart when your actually out and about with it, if you know what i mean? Shouldn't be that expensive honey,Sorry to hear about it! x :flower:

yeah, can't say anything that would help shopaholic48 except good luck!!!

The leather, however, looks gorgey, if that makes it less painful....

Yep, the same screw but my was broken:(, and you're wright-your screw look short .Ask the boys-they will send you new screw:flower:, (dont put glue, you may damage the leather, please NO hummer too;))
You will see that after T&D send you new screw you can do it easy without going to shoe repair or whatever:flower:, just push the leather together not to be so thick

I received my Amethyst Part Time w/RH. I really love this bag and the color is divine. The handles are perfect IMHO. Very close to Authentic Bal I own.
The first two pictures are takin in natural light this morning. I hope you can appreciate the smooshy/thick leather. I love this bag and if any petite gals are on the fence about the part time please give it a try. For reference I am
5 ft 2" and 118 lbs.

coco - fab bag! i loooove it!

uiguu - jacky no longer has the union jack. i'm not sure he ever did it, i think that was catty.

shop - good god. i'm so sorry about this. i wish they would learn that when this happens to one person, we ALL hear about it and it reflects on their poor QC. i also hate that they send these short, stupid emails when someone is having an issue. are we SURE they're australians or whatever because sometimes there seems to be a severe communication barrier. maybe it's just because they're men.

at any rate, take it to a shoe repair. if they can't work with the screw you have, then contact t&d about replacement hardware which they can send at THEIR COST. i know some of you are afraid of confrontation, but you aren't being a b*tch, just addressing a problem that happened on a bag THEY SENT YOU. you didn't do this to the bag, so don't be timid. something has to give. i honestly think a shoe repair can fix it. like chelsita said, if you have a good shoe person, they can fix almost any issue with leather bags or shoes and the end product is flawless. i would not go at it myself with superglue and a hammer because if it still doesn't work and there's glue on/in the hole, the shoe repairman (or woman) will not be able to get all of that dried glue out. and because you're paying for this service on their faulty bag, definitely tell t&d you'd like a discount on your next purchase. you're aware this isn't regular practice with their bags and you hope to order more if the quality is up to par. good luck! xx
